Not at present doing live performances A brief history of Acoustic Bliss. It was only there for a few weeks before the bar closed. Long may we continue.

en mics on Saturday as well as Thursday and the family started to grow. Fancy dress evenings were had on several occasions and most quite memorable with some fantastic costumes. A gallery was started showing one photo of each person that performed on an Acoustic Bliss night. There are now 858 people in the gallery. Burrowfields bar closed with very short notice and Acoustic Bliss was at a loss as to where to go. Then they were offered a spot in the firehouse for Thursday nights but not Saturday as the Firehouse had already established their clientele for that night. After the first Thursday night at the Firehouse, they were asked to come back on Saturdays as well. Many enjoyable years were had at the Firehouse until that followed suit and closed its doors. For the next couple of years Acoustic Bliss only had a few sessions at various locations and none were deemed suitable. Bob Shields took over the Twa Dugs and was determined to get Acoustic Bliss as a regular evening once again. After discussions with Carol and Mark he had significant alterations done to the bar, so Acoustic Bliss had somewhere again on a regular basis and is still there now.
2020. Corona situation forced us to temporarily leave the Twa Dugs. During this time Carol and Mark started broadcasting from the guitar workshop, using clips of pre recorded Bliss, and chatting live between the clips. The usual chaos that we all love about bliss ensued, but was a great success with the largest number of viewers on line and all chatting, enjoying the entertainment. Carol and Mark will endeavour to livestream each week from home until they can return and livestream from the pub. Acoustic bliss became 15 years old in January 2020. During which time it has created a fantastic community. Lots of people have made new friends and formed various bands. Some friends have sadly passed away, but lots of the couples have had there own children which will be part of the future for music. It is now livestreamed on the internet so can be viewed all over the world and regularly has viewers tuning in from America, Australia and lots of other places. Many thanks to Carol and Mark for all they do. To Bob Shields for help with the venue. To all the bar staff for putting up with us each week. And of course to all the fabulous musicians that turn up every week, without which there would be no Acoustic Bliss. Unfortunately since lockdown, acoustic bliss has not returned to live performances.

The Cafeorchestra return back October 1st at the Waverley Hotel at the Callander Jazz & Blues festival for the 3rd time in a row.

Great to have the The Cafeorchestra returning to this year's Callander Jazz & Blues Festival. A unique gypsy jazz quartet made up from four of Ayrshire's top musicians, create a great connection with their audience and are always a festival favourite. The Cafeorchestra consists of John Duffy, a renowned bouzouki player and class vocalist, Karen Henderson, who has enjoyed a successful career as a traditional fiddler, Martin Henderson, who will provide the essential bass beat and Iain Newlands, a skilled guitarist with inspired soloist. Don't miss them at this year's festival between Sep 28 - Oct 01.

Officially the start of Blissmass - Early Session joyous join in jam at the Twa Dugs Live followed by open mic till late ... tonight online we celebrate some of the good things coming our way in Ayrshire and beyond at the end of another year... if you can get out and get some live music into your veins.. do it ! Despite everything there is so much wonderful music and brilliant creative people to enjoy
