Wow, what a fantastic time we had this week in our Baby's Discover and Little Explorers classes 🥰😎
The children discovered a rock pool 🦀🐙🦈🐟 in our Baby Discover Bag, and buckets and spades 🪣 in our Magic Ideas Box...which could only mean one thing...we were off to the beach in this weeks class! 😎
We enjoyed bubble snake painting for our beach artwork and we took colourful footprints 👣 and turned them into flip flops! 🩴
The children really enjoyed playing with edible sand (wholemeal flour mixed with vegetable oil) 🏖 and we had fun playing with water too! 🌊

We've had such a fun time in our Little Explorers and Baby Discover classes this week at Rowheath Pavilion! Thanks for joining me!
The children explored and made some food related art and crafts. They also decorated their own chefs hat!
Our amazing little chefs did fantastic team work as they painted big pizzas together 🍕🎨🥄 They explored painting fruit and veg pictures using different tools and colours too 🍐🍎🍊
The younger children and their adults then made cute mini keepsake canvases with apple and watermelon footprints 🍉🍎
The older children painted and constructed their own pizzas before they pretended to cook them in our special pizza oven! So much creative and imaginative play! 🤩🧑🍳
There's now only 2 weeks left before we break up for the summer and next week we're off to the beach with seaside related art and crafts 🏖🌞

We were so busy, I only managed to take a few photos
Our Baby Discoverers discovered caterpillars, a tunnel, and lots of green and red items in our Baby Bag today! They mixed blue and yellow paint together to make green and we took lovely footprints to make some caterpillar bunting 🐛
Our Little Explorers enjoyed mixing paints too, and in the end we mixed so many colours together our paint turned brown, like mud - It was very interesting! The children created their own gardens, complete with a fairy house. They also used foam clay to sculpt a butterfly to visit the beautiful garden they had crafted.
In both classes, we finished with a very popular activity - mixing our own ooblek "mud" using cocoa powder for a muddy colour and a very yummy chocolatey scent!

🤗 Beautiful Bodies 🤗
Super teamwork from our Baby Discoverers and Little Explorers today as we solved a body jigsaw and everyone then painted a piece!
We took prints of our hands and feet which we turned into car signs to take home.
Our Little Explorers used chalk to make awesome body x-rays and added art straws for bones. Lots of great mark making, as well as scissor and glueing practice!
We did a fun STEAM activity too! Little ones mixed together cornflour and water to make ooblek (the gloopy mixture). It turned into a very interesting texture when it was mixed together!
Such a great class, thanks for joining me! 😊 Can't wait to see you again next week!
