CoGS need your help!

Asda have generously started donating money to primary schools via their Rewards App. Even if you DON’T shop as Asda, you can help! For every person that downloads the app and nominates Glade as their chosen school, Asda will put £1 into our pot. So, PLEASE can you download the app from the Apple Store or the Play Store, register and then nominate Glade as your chosen school. When the first person shops at Asda and scans their reward card, they will put £50 into our pot! If you do shop at Asda, the school will receive a percentage of the money you spend. It would be great if we could get every parent / carer to download the app and nominate us as we could earn hundreds of pounds with minimum effort.

Tomorrow is 'Wear What You Love Day' at Glade Academy.

The children are encouraged to wear what they love, it might be their favourite colour, animal or musician. We would ask that as per our usual non-uniform days that no football kits come into school on this day.

Community of Glade School have suggested a £1 donation so that funds can be raised for things such as school organisers, Year 6 leaver hoodies, treats and other items for the children.

Next week, along with our raffle tickets, CoGS will be selling spaces on our 'Name the Giant Elf' game. Each square will be £1 and the lucky winner will take home the enormous elf! The winner will be announced on Monday 18th December, along with the the raffle winners.

Next week, both before and after school, CoGS will be selling raffle tickets. They will be £1 a strip and all proceeds will be spent on the pupils. The raffle will be drawn on Monday 18th December and winners will be contacted. There are many prizes, including passes for Jimmy's Farm and High Lodge parking passes. Many thanks to the parents and wider community for donating prizes. We look forward to seeing you on the playground next week! In the event of inclement weather, we will be in located in the foyer.

CoGS Family Bingo

Thank you to everyone that attended our family bingo last week. It was lovely to see the hall full of families having fun together! We raised nearly £200 which we are going to spend on a Christmas treat for every pupil.

Whether we like it or not, Christmas is just around the corner. What better way to blow away those winter cobwebs than to take to the forest and join in on Jingle Jangle at High Lodge?
This great charity event will be held on Sunday the 3rd of December and will feature 2 fun runs and a whole host of Christmasy goodness with a wide range of festive, crafty stalls and a market.
Come one, come all but just don’t forget to don your festive hat. If you don’t have a festive hat then a big smile will do just fine.
All proceeds go to the Big C Cancer charity.

This is weather dependent and we may be in the foyer if it is raining.

Thursday 19th October
EYFS and KS1 4:45pm until 5:45pm
KS2 6.00pm until 7.00pm
Refreshments will be available to purchase.

£2 for entry. An additional 50p can be paid for UV face painting.

We are selling tickets prior to the event to enable us to gather permission for face painting and also take song requests.

Hi there everyone.

We hope you are all having the best start to you summer holidays.

Well they could be getting better real soon with a fun filled visit to some wonderful places.

We have been keeping an eye out for some awesome free or cheap events and days out in our local area and we are thrilled to bring them to your attention for all to enjoy.

Let’s start out with a wild adventure at either Banham Zoo or Africa Alive.

Both of these incredible facilities are having 2 cheap ticket days. On Monday the 31st of July and Tuesday the 1st of August you can immerse yourself in the wonder of the animal kingdom for only £10 a ticket. That’s just £10 per adult and children alike.

Remember to take lots of pictures, make lasting memories and be sure to have lots of fun.

A massive THANK YOU to all that came and supported our summer fair yesterday! From stall holders, to guests and to everyone involved! It was a huge SUCCESS; we raised a grand total of £900!!!
The monies raised will be going towards some future projects such as leavers hoodies and helping towards school trips.
