Some people think that vegans believe they’re above everyone else. That they are high and mighty. For the most part, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Choosing to live a life as cruelty free as possible comes with a huge burden. You feel so much empathy for the animals that go through hell every single day, for an industry that sees them as nothing but food and dairy products. An industry that doesn’t care for their health, safety or wellbeing. That confines them to disgusting conditions for months, sometimes years, suffering pain and abuse and then, when their time has come, they’re crammed into slaughter trucks, with no air to breath, breaking bones, exhausted, hungry, thirsty. Some die before they even get to the slaughter house. Those are the “lucky” ones. 💔

I sometimes think it would be a happier existence to bury my head in the sand and pretend I don’t know these things, don’t care or that “it’s organic and produced in the UK, so it’s fine”. But I’d be living a lie and I couldn’t, with a clear conscience, carry on living my life this way.

Not eating animal products is easier than it’s ever been. There are plenty of delicious plant based alternatives, fruit and veg of every colour of the rainbow. So for the small sacrifice of my taste buds, animals don’t have to die. That is the minimum amount of effort required.

I don’t know why I’m writing all this. I guess I’d hope that, even if I reach out to just one person, that’s one less person harming animals. 🌱

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! ❤️

I’ve been very quiet this year and there’s a tiny reason for that. We’re expecting our first baby this August! 👶💕

So I’ll be taking the rest of this year off and I plan to be back entertaining again next year! 🎤 🎶

Happy New Year to all my followers! 🥂 I want to say a huge thank you to Clients, Venues and Agents who booked me in 2023 and the people who came out to see me perform, dance the night away and genuinely become good friends. 🥰 I’ve met some amazing people and performed some of my favourite shows! 💕 It’s been fantastic and I can’t wait to see what this year brings. 🥳

Last night, I saw in the New Year in the comfort of my own home, for the first time in years. Our dog struggles with the fireworks and so we had a nice family evening in, with movies and board games. It was very relaxing. 😌

I hope this year brings you happiness, love and memories you’ll never forget! 💕

Hey everyone! Well, what a busy old weekend I’ve had. 😴

I attended not one, but two weddings this weekend. Not as a singer, but as a guest! 😍🥰 On Saturday, my lovely niece, Lauren married Arthur and on Sunday, Rob’s brother; Ben married Ellie. The universe definitely approves of both weddings, as the weather was just amazing. ☀️ The brides were beautiful, grooms handsome and the bride and groom parties all looked stunning. I’m so honoured to have been invited to be part of their special day. Two very happy couples. 💕 Rob and I are also so thankful to our incredible friend Tam, for taking care of Bridget. She’s one of Bridget’s favourite people, for sure! 🐾

Now, for my own big news!! After driving from Swindon to Exeter and home again, I’ve now taken another trek to Manchester, that took 5 hours!! Why, I hear you ask? To meet with StreetStar Studios, who will be producing my first ever professional showreel!! 🎉 It’s something I’ve wanted to do for years and am now finally able to! 🥳 The outfits and songs have been carefully chosen and I am so excited! I cannot wait to share the full showreel with you in the next few weeks! 🤩🤩

So, this is my home for the next few days. Wish me luck! 🎶🎙🎶

I performed my first Postmodern Jukebox themed wedding reception recently, at Hallsannery House, Bideford for the gorgeous Alex and Emma. 🎶🎙🎶

I had an amazing evening, entertaining the newlyweds and their guests. 💕 I work hard and pride myself on giving the best service I can for my Clients, so waking up to feedback like this is wonderful! Thank you so much Alex! 🙏

I can’t wait to be fit and well enough to get back to doing what I love. 🥰

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a lovely week. 💕 Unfortunately, due to medical issues, I have had to cancel all of the gigs I had booked in for April. I’ve contacted all involved, so they’re aware and it’s something I only ever do, if absolutely necessary. 😢

I have a ruptured ovarian cyst, which has been extremely painful and needing medical attention. I’m not able to do any lifting and can barely stand at times. It’s been very painful and a potentially long recovery. 🤒

So, I’m afraid you won’t see me out performing for a while, until I’m recovered. Wishing you all a happy and healthy Easter weekend. 😘

Last night, I had the pleasure of performing at Hotel du Vin Bristol, for an event organised by the NHS Bristol and Weston Trust. 🥳

It felt amazing to entertain a group of doctors and medical professionals, who work so hard to keep us healthy. Not only do they save lives on a daily basis, they can also strut their stuff on the dance floor too! 💃🕺🪩

Last night, I saw in the New Year at a private party in Hatch Beauchamp. They did not disappoint! It wasn’t just a party for them, but for me too! I loved every minute and it was the perfect way to see in the new year. 🎙🎶🎶 Here’s my attempt at a selfie with the crowd… technology is definitely not my strongpoint. 🤣

ALL DOORSTAFF, BARSTAFF AND ENTERTAINERS…

Over the past fortnight a dj was approached while working by a young girl and asked for the first time, "Is Angela working tonight?" - having read about the initiative He knew instantly what she was referencing, said yes, told her to jump in the DJ booth with him, (she was extremely nervous...) and in turn asked the nearest security guard the same question. Luckily, he too knew, and the young girl was escorted through the back of the venue and into an taxi immediately. Her "date" upon returning from the bathroom was asked to leave by management, he without delay turned violent and security stepped-in.
Basically, is a scheme in place (established in the UK) which aims at reducing sexual violence and vulnerability by providing women and men with a subtle phrase to assist getting them out of potentially dangerous and helpless situations. First-dates, Tinder-dates or frankly getting home alone after a night out can unfortunately (history-proven) be a risk. I urge all DJs, venues, those in hospitality/night-life to look into the concept and educate yourselves and your staff. It may seem extreme, but sometimes you may be someones only option,

I’m off on my holidays!!! ☀️🌊🍹 Yes, that’s right, I’ll be going abroad for the first time since the pandemic and I’m sooooo excited! Amsterdam, here we come! 💕 Amy Andrews Music will be shut until Monday, 3rd October. 👋 I’ve already sussed out the karaoke bars. 😉🎙🎶

Yesterday was fantastic! In the afternoon, I entertained the wonderful residents of Parklands Residential Care - with some favourites from the 50s and 60s - including Etta James, Doris Day, Bob Marley, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley and more! It was lovely to see them singing along and getting up to have a dance in the dining room! I can’t wait to come back next month. 💕

Then, yesterday evening I had a very different crowd at The Old Market, Bridgwater, performing on their outdoor stage. It was an amazing night, with a fun atmosphere right from the get go! These are the best nights!! 🕺💃🎶🎶

Now, it’s time for a cheeky maccies breakfast with my no. 1 and then tonight, I’ll be back at The Black Horse in Taunton! I can’t wait! 🥳🥳🥳
