Hi everyone, we've got a couple of gigs this Friday night at K-bar and Woodies. Would any of you new volunteers like to get involved? Times are yet to be worked out but reply to this if you're interested and we will keep you updated.

Hi everyone.

Here's a quick message to all those that forgot to sign up at freshers fayre!

So, we're Kent Tech. To get a bit more of an idea about what we do, check and 'Like' out our page www.facebook.com/KentTech, and head over to our website www.kenttech.co.uk Where you'll find pictures of our work and our contact details.

It doesn't matter whether or not you've done this kind of thing before. We have volunteers who can show you the basic skills or advance any previous skills you may have. Or maybe you'll be able to show us a thing or two!

To meet the Committee, come along to a quick presentation in KLT5 (Keynes Lecture theatre 5) at midday this coming Saturday (the 29th September) Afterward, those who want to can head along to our lockup where we'll show you some of our kit and have a bit more of an informal chat. Then, for those of you who are really keen, we'll head along to K-Bar for a few drinks.

After that, you'll be ready to go. Get volunteering for us, and logging your volunteer hours while playing with some lighting and sound kit, and supplying equipment for events around campus and beyond.

Hope to see you there on Saturday.

Interested in backstage work? Study Drama, Film, or other course with a multimedia element? Want to learn more than what is taught on your degree program, learn different skills, and see what working backstage is like?

Being able to communicate effectively with different professions, when working professionally is a very important skill. So whether you want to become a director of a West End show, or a lead actor in a film, or a professional dancer, having a basic knowledge of the working practices, terminology and technology, used by technicians can put you at an advantage when it comes to looking for a job.

Sound (get it?) interesting? Then come along to the Kent Tech's Standout training, this Wednesday @ 3.30pm. Details on how to sign up can be found here:

Plans for Keynestock 2012 are coming together. Just 16 days to go. Providing full, stage, lighting, sound and power distro. Fancy lending us a hand? Get in touch, by emailing [email protected]. Training will be provided, so no previous experience is necessary. Alternatively come to our training session on the 16th of May @ 2pm, where a full introduction to live sound will be provided.
