How it started - a short history of the soup
Which came first, the pot or the soup?
There is a hypothesis that the soup was first cooked by Neanderthals. This is indicated by the discovery of the skeleton of a pre-human of this species, who lost all his teeth many years before his death and did not die of starvation. Primitive people used a hole dug in the ground to cook soup. They lined it with animal skins and poured water inside and added ingredients.
