About Tuppence Flowers...
Tuppence Flowers is based in Stanley, County Durham, owned and by me, Sasha, who after a lightbulb moment decided to leave the rat race, retrain and open a bespoke florist studio. I’m maybe not your typical florist, covered in tattoos, have a big mouth, I’m pretty funny, love reading dystopian books, bit of a nerd and have a pooch called Mitchy the Pirate - oh wait! This isnt a Tinder profile?
...Back to the flowers. We provide affordable floral tributes for weddings and funerals as well as flowers for other occasions such as graduations, Valentine’s Day and Christmas. Our signature floral arrangements are amazing flower teacups, which are unbelievable popular on Mother’s Day, we source local vintage fairs for beautiful teacups and saucers and then fill them to the brim with gorgeous flowers!
We cater to all wedding and partnerships, our specialty being vintage and boho design bouquets and accompanying flowers. We absolutely love bespoke flower requests and work with customers to achieve their brief, which as well as the traditional white wedding, have included alternative Disney, punk, gothic weddings! Our bespoke designs continue through to our now famous hatboxes where we have had themed requests for swimming teachers, dog groomers and bakers.
Our initial aim upon commencement of the business, which we still work towards, was to support bereaved families, friends and loved ones to purchase affordable, quality funeral arrangements and wreaths. Significant discounts are given to people with a low income or people who are having financial difficulties (simply inbox or call with any questions or requests). We are able to offer the discounts as we are a studio and currently do not have shop overheads.
