A very busy Burns Day for me.......

Glenburn Nursery in Hallglen, Falkirk in the morning, where the toddlers were brilliant despite the loud noise.

On to Crosshouse Primary School in East Kilbride at 1pm, where I piped in parents and participants, then was a judge in their Burns Day recitals. What an amazing celebration of Burns from Primary's 4 to 7. The participants were ALL word perfect in their recitals with some real talent in delivering the expression of the poems - Up in the Early Morning, To a Mouse, Address to the Haggis and Scots Wha Hae. VERY WELL DONE.

Finished off at Mearns House Care Home in Newton Mearns to pipe in the haggis for this evenings Burns Supper. Residents with dementia doing the Address to the Haggis was inspirational.

Just home and got my wee Princess to bed.

Thanks to her Gran for looking after her last night and today.

Mummy Laura had to work and I've been out on pipe band duties ALL day.

Left the house at 7.30am to pipe for Rutherglen District 20 Orange Order at their Juvenile Parade, then dashed to pick up Liam before heading to Lesmahagow to play at their Highland games with the pipe band.

A good turn out from East Kilbride Pipe Band and an excellent procession to the park. A couple of sets in the park before the massed bands played their tribute to the Chieftains, before the customary massed pipe band parade back through the village.

Feet are exceedingly sore - but a good days piping!!!
