Noh Training Project UK

Noh Training Project UK In both Japan and the US, NTP has become an annual programme which stages public recitals and professionally produced Noh performances.

The Noh Training Project ('NTP') is an annual intensive workshop which provides practical and comprehensive training in the great tradition of traditional Japanese Noh theatre. NTP was first established in 1991 by Richard Emmert in Tokyo, Japan, and later, in 1995, in Bloomsburg, USA, as an annual workshop to teach Noh in English to novices and those with more experience. NTP has led to an ongoing

relationship with students, many of whom now create and perform Noh around the world. The first UK Noh Training Project workshop at Reading University in 2011, was also the first of these projects ever to be held in Europe.
