They finally got married!!!

Huge congratulations to Tara and Liam who had a beautiful day yesterday at the Devon Hotel, Exeter.
Tara first contacted me back in 2018!!! After the pandemic causing 4 date changes, I am so glad they finally got the day they’ve waited so long for!

The vision all along for this special day has been rustic but simple so we covered the room with lots of hessian and rustic wood but added a few fairy lights around for a little bit of sparkle!

All the best to the new Mr and Mrs Stirzaker 💕

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of being part of three special weddings! First being this gorgeous marquee wedding of Jodie and Ashley! Finally they got the day they had spent so long planning.

After a 2 year delay due to covid, we finally had our day, Jordan was amazing, turned up on time and dressed our tables and chairs lovely, they looked amazing, the games we hired were a massive hit with the children and kept them busy all day.. thank you so devoted 😊

Thursday’s wedding was all about black, grey and copper and it looked amazing!
I loved planning, creating and putting together idea’s with Laura and Dan for their special day!

Hey lovelies 😀it’s been a long time, I know! Huge apologies and I can promise you I am still here working hard behind the scenes! I am pumped and ready to go for what 2022s diary has in store for me!
As many of you know as well as working hard at So Devoted on venue styling and planning, I have also had the pleasure of working with the events team and coordinating weddings over
Due to loving what I do and having some time to think about how I process forward, I have decided I will need to restructure the business slightly! You won’t see much change but I will be adjusting the styling lines as the coordinating side of the business has picked up. This won’t affect any current bookings and all changes will be amended on the website shortly.
This was a little venture that I started up after realising how much I enjoyed working in the wedding industry, I had no idea where I would end up but I feel so lucky to be in the position I find myself in today.
Thank you to all past, present and future bookings, without you I wouldn’t be in this fortunate position!

Now we’ve got the January blues out the way, 2022 let’s go! 🥂

Since the announcement on Monday, our inbox has been non stop. It’s great to hear everyone’s jumping back in to wedding planning mode, if you are waiting on a response from me, I promise to get back to you shortly. I have a very big to do list that I am tackling! I’m looking forward to hearing all your plans though!

This has been shared on the OFFICIAL UK Weddings Taskforce Instagram in the last hour.

"Number 10 today thanked the UK for a "hugely helpful" meeting convened with both Number 10 and BEIS earlier this afternoon.

* Number 10 confirmed that the Taskforce’s solution for a safe reopening of weddings will be included in representations to the PM's COVID Taskforce - which has been tasked with unlocking the economy. We are confident that weddings will be included in the Prime Minister's roadmap due to be announced the week of 22nd February.

* Businesses are anxious to hear news of our application for a sector specific SUPPORT PACKAGE. Minister and his department has lobbied HM Treasury and the Taskforce has secured a meeting with the Chancellor's team for later this week. We urge businesses who have not yet done so to sign up for our newsletter - link in bio. We will be issuing another newsletter at the end of this week.

* We understand businesses and couples need clarity over dates and guest numbers, as well as what will and will not be permitted at a wedding as restrictions are eased. We continue to work with government to ensure sensible protocols are agreed so that weddings can reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. Government advised today they shall provide this much needed clarity once the roadmap has been developed and the Taskforce will continue to push for clear guidance to be provided at the earliest possible opportunity."

MONDAY

Here we are another week in lockdown!
I ended last week feeling like I hadn’t been very productive, like I could have done better. But this morning, I’ve woke up put my positive pants on, written a fresh to do list and I am ready to see the week ahead!

One thing I’m going to do this week is not put too much pressure on myself, I have to remember the world isn’t in the usual fast pace mode!
