Hello and welcome to Folkestone Modern Magic! The idea behind this page is to gather Magic players from Folkestone and surrounding areas for some Modern Magic Friday night shenanigans! The venue is my house, but fortunately it's big enough to accommodate a fair amount of players.
We were thinking it could be cool to have an entry fee of £5, with all entry fees being put into the prize pool, then having prize pool split between players. Obviously the more people that turn up the bigger the prize pool. We would welcome any ideas players have if you think there's a better way to do the prizes.
If this page gets enough attention and players, we can get into discussions of how we would like to do things, for example, would people prefer to do 'Pre modern' style evenings where we don't include lotr cards or MH2 cards. This is something we'll be open to discuss in the future. However we are equally happy for people to turn up with Scam and evoke the s**t out of each other.
please feel free to express any interest and ideas in the comments of this post, were excited to see if this is something people locally are interested in.
we're also open to changing the day of the week, were went with Friday for the classic FNM feel, but also understand there are standard events running locally on Friday. So maybe I could create a pole to see what day fits best for everyone.
You can bring your own drinks/booze/food or we could come up with some sort of snack area.
