Hi everyone, we have a couple of important announcements to make...please read on.
Firstly, the Osnaburg, where we have been running our sessions have informed us that they are unable to continue hosting us for the foreseeable future. We have been scouting around for a suitable alternative venue but so far, unfortunately, nowhere has come to light. With this in mind, and due to other pressures of projects and work for both Kevin and myself, we will be taking a hiatus for a short time. A big thank you to everyone who has supported our open mic since we started around ten years ago, and once a clear plan has been formulated we will be back.
Secondly, and more importantly, as some of you may already be aware one of our regular and much loved contributors - Laing French - passed away on Christmas eve. Along with his family we are hosting a special open mic session, dedicated to his memory, on 25th March. All who knew Laing are invited to join us in Forfar West End Social Club from around 7.30pm. If you wish to perform a few songs, please message or call either Kevin or myself directly so that we can arrange in advance a running order for the evening. If you do wish to play we would ask that you arrive before 9.00pm...no turning up half an hour from the end and expecting a slot. There is sure to be many of you out there who would like to contribute and we look forward to seeing and hearing each and every one of you.
Once again, thank you for your support, and we'll be seeing you (probably) sooner than you think.

Tonight, for the last time this year, we will be hosting the Forfar Open Mic & Jam Session in the Osnaburg Bar. So far in 2022 we've had some magnificent performers join us and we hope this evening will be an event of unparalleled musical delight to bring the year to an end. Come join us for the session of the year, everyone is welcome to perform or simply to listen and enjoy the music.
There will be no sessions during January we're sorry to say.
Also, we'd like to thank all the performers who came along to entertain us during 2022, each and every one of you is truly a star, thank you all for your support and we look forward to seeing and hearing you all in2023. And, a big thank you goes to all the non-performers who came along, you make it so much more worthwhile.
Have a terrific New Year and, hopefully, we'll see you this evening.
Let's make this a night to remember.

Forfar Open Mic & Jam Session will be having our pre-christmas session tonight (21st December), and look forward to a great evening of music and song. We hope to have our regular performers attend and, perhaps, some newcomers to show their skills.
The next session will be next Wednesday (28th December) and will be your last opportunity this year to join us before our winter break until February.
So, What are you waiting for?

Just to remind you all, there is no session tonight, folks. However, we will be having two midweek sessions back to back...this Wednesday (21st) and next Wednesday (28th). If you can't make one, you can come to the other. Or better still, both!
Of course, everyone is welcome to come join us whether it's to perform, or simply to enjoy the sublime sonics that will grace your ears.
The next Sunday session is likely to be in February as we're having a winter break. But, until then, have the best time over the festive season.

It may be cold outside, so why not head on down to the Osnaburg this evening and avail yourself of the warm fuzzy feeling produced by quality music, brought to you by a host of terrific musicians? We are here every second Sunday evening and hope to see you there.

Another Sunday rolls around, as does our bi-weekly Open Mic & Jam Session down in the Osnaburg.
Tonight, for your listening pleasure, we will be joined for a rare appearance by John T Martin who will perform some of his foot stomping Cajun swamp tunes - not to be missed!
Of course, the usual suspects will be there to provide an evening of musical excellence with a diverse range of genres including traditional, contemporary, and modern tunes...what's not to like?
