It’s that wiggle for us! This gorgeous “Wild Wedding” bouquet was created with lots of our bramble grown - roses, scabious, rudbeckia, achillea, cosmos, mint & phlox and we can’t help but loving the way the grasses wiggle.
Wild Weddings are our version of a set package wedding - you simply give us a colour scheme and we make you something utterly gorgeous for a seasonal surprise on the big day! You’ll find a special page dedicated to these designs at www.brambleandwild.com ❤️

Walking around our cut flower garden, you won’t see many flowers in bloom.
“Why?!” You ask?
Well, if they’re in bloom in our garden then they won’t last nearly as long for you in the vase! So we pick nearly everything when it’s just showing some colour, to give you the longest vase life possible.
These snapdragons are giving their everything right now! Our own saved seed and we have armfuls of these beauties heading up to the shop tomorrow!
Pack a gift order with us!
Jack chose a lovely selection of our Bramble goodies for a house warming present.
The last few days have been about compost! Every little offcut from our shop goes straight onto one of our seven compost heaps. Once it’s broken down into this beautiful crumbley compost, it goes straight back onto the garden to improve our soil for the next years growth. We also have a wormery, tumblers and bokashi bins - composting is a big deal here - nothing goes to waste. Have compost questions? Fire away!
June is looking pretty beautiful so far… just keeping all our fingers and toes crossed that this wind doesn’t ruin our sunflowers which were coming along nicely in the cutting patch 🤞🏻
Last night the golden hour was so beautiful, so whilst we waited for the chickens to go to bed, I popped over to the cutting patch with the camera and I’m so glad I did 🥰 The foxgloves are in full swing and the peonies in this patch are just getting going too - dahlias are greening up and the ammi is just starting to bud - May is the best. 💚
As promised, my truly terrible reel!
Back in January I did a little experiment to see what made flowers last the longest.
All 10 roses were bought on the same day, filled with the same amount of water at the same temperature and kept at a room temperature of 19-21 degrees c throughout the whole experiment. The experiment lasted 21 days but we are missing a few photos due to leaving and returning home in the dark on a few work days!
Vase 1 - fresh tap water changes every 3 days but with no additives. Stems snipped on water change.
Vase 2 - no water change or snip throughout the experiment.
Vase 3 - fresh tap water changes every 3 days with a copper penny in the water. Stems snipped on water change.
Vase 4 - fresh tap water changes every 3 days with a teaspoon of sugar each time. Stems snipped on water change.
Vase 5 - fresh tap water changes every 3 days with flower food at the correct dosage. Stems snipped on water change.
I cut them at two lengths to see if it made much of a difference to longevity but I can’t say it really did.
I was actually pretty surprised at the results - I have to admit I didn’t expect a huge difference but the speed that no.2 wilted was incredible compared to the rest. It obviously makes a huge difference just having clean water!
Vases 4&5 lasted just as well as each other, BUT the sugar made mould grow in the vase which was pretty gross and meant that this was the only vase that had to be washed mid experiment. Because of that, I declare no.5 the winner!
(We didn’t test with bleach because we limit the use or chemicals. All vases were freshly dishwashed before the experiment started.)
We have a special offer for you guys today! Our sakagen snips are on sale for one week only! Get 20% off a pair with code sakagen20 which makes them just £24! (Plus UK p&p.) Find them in our online shop and via the photo tag 💙

Ok, it's taken me two days to get this video up on here! It's twenty minutes long and a total shambles, I've cut my head off and the end has mysteriously disappeared, so I don't blame you if you don't watch it all! I will add a sped up version shortly but this is just incase you're SERIOUSLY bored!
-
So, for the Bramblefam Flower Challenge, we've taken inspiration from @lovelydeadcrap , @commonfarmflowers 's 30 stems challenge and also @thefarmersdaughterflowers 's foraging challenge ... there are only TWO rules - no stealing from your neighbours, no matter how much you like or dislike them, (delete as appropriate,) and please forage responsibly. Pick where you know it's safe and legal!
-
Weeds are encouraged, as is the use of dead stuff and also things you may be lucky enough to have in your garden. No bought flowers though, seek and ye shall find!! Use your favourite vessel, no foam and lose yourself for a bit in the joy of nature.
-
DO pop them up on your stories / feeds and tag us @brambleandwild - we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Leanne totally amazed everyone last week with our epic cake. Three layers of caramel covered awesomeness, which withstood heat, wind and a thunderstom!

"See my stories for the complete time lapse of this cake...it was an experience working with the big gusts of wind & heat! I know the cake looks super wonky in this video but I promise it wasn’t 😂"
