As a member of the Thistle Humanists, I am a Humanist Wedding Celebrant in Scotland with Thistle Ceremonies. I am:

- Registered with the General Register of Scotland to perform legal Humanist marriages.
- A member of the Thistle Humanists
- Will create a marriage ceremony that is personal and meaningful.
- Disclosure checked, fully trained, insured and licensed.
- Trained in symbolic gestures for

weddings such as handfasting, tree planting, sand ceremony and many more. More about me -

When myself and my husband were planning our own wedding, we were looking for a ceremony that would capture our personalities and would provide us with the flexibility to be creative. We chose a Humanist ceremony, and we were inspired by how unique and personal the experience was and our guests loved it! It was this experience that interested me to find out more about Humanism and I felt a connection to the Humanist philosophy. Training to become a celebrant in 2017 felt like a natural next step. I try to embrace life and adore spending time with my own family and friends to ensure that I build magical memories and live my best life! Being a celebrant is the most rewarding role. It is always an honour to be asked to bring families together as it is a privilege to be part of huge milestones in people’s life and can support them to create bespoke ceremonies. I take pride in my work, and I am humbled to be asked to be the voice, whether it is at a celebration of life funeral, the celebration of new life with a naming day or celebrating love with a legal wedding ceremony or a vow renewal. I am based in Dundee and am happy to travel to all areas of Dundee, Angus, Perthshire, and Fife.

📖 With a decade of tales to share, we found out how they met at work, love to get away on holiday, grew as a family of three with baby Jonah, and a sentimental proposal as they returned to the place they shared their first kiss.

🪢 Lara and Keirran chose a traditional Scottish handfast to symbolise their commitment with their mums bringing forward sentimental materials to use.

🌟TWILIGHT WEDDING🌟

Just had the privilege of marrying a beautiful couple at this evening.

With little nods to country music, their happy baby, and their doggie in a tuxedo, it was a cracking family ceremony.

With the formalities complete, everyone can get right into the swing of the party 🎉

It was also lovely to catch up with familiar faces past, present, and future 🥰

What a setting for an outdoor ceremony with the dreamy countryside views 😍

It was great fun getting to know these two and being part of such an emotional, loving, and joyful day was an absolute pleasure.

Huge congratulations to Laura and Calum who had their ideal ceremony outside in the pretty hotel grounds.

Before the ceremony, I was lucky enough to be present when Laura’s dad saw her for the first time and it was such an emotional and beautiful moment 🥹

What a truly wonderful day for Jamie and Mark! A ceremony filled with fun, love, family, and so many personal touches.

📝 Their 3 fantastic children read us not one, but two super cute Dr Suess poems.

📖 I got to tell the tales of love at first sight at Krispy Kreme, family fun, Biffy Clyro gigs and a million furry friends that have been welcomed into the fold. Then the sentimental proposal at Wormit beach.

🪢 Both Jamie and Mark composed heartfelt personal vows which they exchanged during a Scottish handfast. Then we invited their 3 children to add their own favourite coloured ribbons to the knot as mum and dad also confirmed promised to them.

18th of May - Carnoustie golf hotel

Huge congratulations to Lauren and Scott who I had the best time getting to know!! There were so many stories, especially from Lauren who loves to chat, and the wedding welcome sign was spot on 🤣🤣!

The ceremony included -

👰🏼‍♀️ A gorgeous bridal procession with a moment of 🥹 from Scott.

🤗 A warm welcome for their guests, Lauren’s parents, and their son Jayden, who was secretly wishing he was playing golf instead!

📖 We took a trip down memory lane, from partying days and McDonald’s drive thru dates, to house renovations and parenthood, then a long awaited marriage proposal which technically Scott never had to do, not just once, but twice!!

That’s a wrap! 🙌 Final ceremony of the year complete, and it was a good one 💖 Huge thanks to all of my couples for keeping me super busy this year! It has been AMAZING 🤩 The people, the stories, the venues, and the love 🫶🏻 Now for some much needed down time with the family. Honestly, can’t wait to chill, have fun, make memories and spend time with the people I love.
