So privileged to be a part of a unique memorial ceremony today, for a very special gent who had such a lovely wife and family. The word I will take away with me forever is...'resourcefulness'. And the staff at the hotel were so friendly too.

It was 20 years ago today that Anne Barber set up Civil Ceremonies Ltd. I am sure I speak for everyone that has ever been trained by Anne, or worked with her, that she should be so incredibly proud of the difference she has made, and continues to make, in the celebrancy world. I recently had the pleasure of meeting with Mark Simkin at Adlington Memorial Park in Cheshire. This is a lovely, natural setting, with gardens and green fields as far as the eye can see. A welcoming place to visit. If you're looking for a natural burial ground or a tranquil place to scatter ashes then here it is.
