Simple Things Done Really Well. We’re specialists! We run a festival in Wales, camps in Scotland and endless outdoor events. Our founders even wrote a book on life lived outdoors. And what we do we do with well known style and real panache. We create beautiful events under canvas and around the campfire. For us this is second nature; it’s what we do. But don’t take our word for it. Come and see us. FIRE. We create beautiful events for people that enjoy life lived around a campfire. We know how to cook food properly (italics), with the heat and smoke that only an outdoor fire can offer. A solid steel grill, a simple hanging rack or some proper, heavy pans; a healthy dose of theatre. We know what we’re doing. This isn’t food for the faint-hearted, it’s the real thing. And we understand the alchemy -the deep magic- of sitting around a campfire with a glass of something strong, some friends and perhaps even a guitar. This is where real magic is made; smoke rises gently, flames splinter and you can lie back and search for shooting stars and satellites. CANVAS. Tents are the key to a proper party. Big tents for food, drink and music; small tents for rest and recovery. A night of dancing followed by breakfast coffee with only the morning chorus for company. Proper canvas; simple, unchanging and fit for purpose. At Hawarden we don’t do neon green, synthetic, pop up stuff. Beautifully lit tents, indoors and out, open sides for summer evenings, hatches battened down when the Welsh weather misbehaves. Outdoor benches and deckchairs, fire pits, hay bales, candles, storm lanterns, flags, picnic rugs. Simple, confident, timeless style. BIG SKIES. The Pavilion sits in ancient, listed, private parkland beside a cricket pitch often referred to as ‘Wales’ most beautiful’. This is a special place; a vast wild flower meadow watched over by two castles of national importance. There are ancient trees, ponds and -in summer- acres and acres of wild flowers and grasses. The skies here are big, strong and imposing. This is Wales at its best; at once tamed and wild and free. Come and see us!
