We are mother-daughter afternoon tea enthusiasts who have sampled some of the best afternoon tea around the world. Our expectations are so high that we catered my own wedding in June 2013, all laid out on our very own collection of vintage crockery. Since then our collection has grown as well as our love and passion for all things vintage. This year Duchess Vintage Tea Party was born after caterin
g for a number of events in 2015. Our name pays homage to the 7th Duchess of Bedford who created the art of afternoon tea in the mid 1840’s due to feeling a lag in the afternoon before dinner. Covering Sussex we offer traditional afternoon tea including delicate finger sandwiches, homemade scones (with jam and clotted cream of course!), a selection of sumptuous cakes and treats all washed down with a pot of tea. In addition to the food we will blast you back to the good old days. Handmade bunting will swing from the rafters; the scent of fresh flowers will fill the air all whilst you sip your tea from a proper china cup. Our collection of crockery has been specially selected and handpicked by us. We will supply everything to the venue of your choice, even the sugar tongs!
