The village hall and the community have lost someone whose kindness, compassion, irresistible positive energy and wholehearted commitment benefited many people over several decades, whether it was the Active Living centre, her consummate culinary skills or the many other projects she helped initiate and support. She will be irreplaceable to the village hall and she will be remembered as a pioneer helping to lay the foundations for what the hall can do today.

Last week the Friday hub café hosted a Macmillan cancer support coffee morning and raised over £600.00 (and still counting.) Grateful thanks go to all those who came and donated so generously to this important charity.

A really successful craft fare was held in aid of St Mary’s Church heritage fund. The hall was buzzing all Saturday afternoon on 19th November.
