Our first event was Leeds Festival in 2003, since then we've grown from a small team of just 6 volunteers to over three thousand staff and volunteers every year! Our management team has been recruiting and managing staff and volunteers for music festivals and live events since the early 90s. We recruit and manage teams of up to 850 at our current events, working in the campsites, on fire towers, gates, wristband exchanges and in the arenas.

There is absolutely no way we could have taken over 1000 volunteers to Download without our awesome staff team, so another big thank you must go out to you all! 👏
Many of our staff take holiday from their day-jobs to help us run Hotbox Events and especially for Download 2024 went above and beyond to help us run the biggest team we've ever taken to a festival! We had regular staff members stepping up to take on roles they wouldn't usually, and even two stepping off flights from America only to head straight to the festival to make sure everyone was being looked after on-shift!

Some of our staff do have incredible CVs and have helped to run some of the best events in the world 🗺️
But for others, it will be their first time on a large scale event site 🏆
This brings objectivity, new ideas, and a fresh perspective, which is vital on a dynamic event site 🎪
There’s definitely a place on a festival site for those with shedloads of experience, but for us, our business is people.
We recruit people, train people, manage people, and look after people.
And we think people perform best when they’re surrounded by other nice people 👍
So for us, one of our main hiring criteria is nice, smiley, friendly people 😊
The kind of people who will lift you up when you’re having a bad day and are always there for a chat when you need it 🤝
We’ve just opened new staff applications for our 2024 events season, so if you think you’re a people person, you can motivate a team and you can stay positive and upbeat in all weathers, we’d love you to apply!
Even if you don’t have an extensive events CV, we can train you how to do what you’ll be asked to do. As one of our staff once put it:

Right now, we're on the hunt for zone supervisors to join us at Download Festival:
⭐ Days required onsite: Tuesday 11th - Monday 17th June 2024
⭐ Hours 16:00 - 01:00, Wednesday - Sunday
⭐ Pay: 47 hours @ £13.10 per hour + holiday pay for those on PAYE = £14.68 per hour, total gross wage of £615.70 or £690.01 including holiday pay for those on PAYE.
⭐ Bonus points if you've volunteered with us previously, although this isn't required!
