We would like to introduce you to some of the artists that will playing across the day at Emerging Leeds and have included a little more about what you can expect to see and hear from them. First up is the artists appearing on our acoustic set…

Prima Star Power
“Music to fall in love to…” Some of their influences include Leonard Cohen, Karen Dalton and Harry Nilsson.

Beb Songs
“I play lofi acoustic guitar-based music with hints of psychedelia and folk. for live performances, I use a loopstation, a guitar, a synth and a flute to build layers of melody and rhythm.”

Walking Contradiction
“Walking Contradiction is a indie/punk project started by Louie Kaye and takes influence from the American Pop Punk scene and the British Indie Scene.”

Emerging Leeds

Tapping into the creative roots of the vibrant Kirkgate Market, we wanted to create an event that highlights the diversity and creativity of the venue whilst showcasing some of the best emerging local talent in music and beyond.
We are showcasing artists from a range of genres and backgrounds to the local community in a relaxed and accessible setting.
Performed by students from Leeds Beckett University’s Leeds School of Arts, Emerging Leeds will take place at Kirkgate Market food court, where members of the public can watch the performance or just walk through and catch a moment of it.
