dBridge is an OG of drum & bass that needs no introduction. He began producing during the genre's conception in the early 1990’s with amazing releases on some of the biggest and best labels, as well as running iconic Exit Records.

In more recent years his productions have branched out into other genres including his dubstep release on Sentry Records "Fashion Dread". But despite his incredible versatility, he has only ever player 1 dubstep set before.

J:Kenzo is a producer and record label owner (Artikal Music & Lion Charge) from the UK. Known for his minimalistic dark tribal sound in both the dubstep and drum and bass scenes since 2006.

Well known as a DJ touring worldwide and Rinse FM resident; he is a taste-maker and consistently at the forefront of underground bass music.

J:Kenzo has produced multiple EPs and singles as well as a self titled full length album, whilst also remixing several notable artists; appeared on labels such as Exit Records, Metalheadz, Tempa, Cosmic Bridge, 31 Recordings, as well as his own label Artikal Music, often bridging the gap between dubstep and drum & bass.

We’re pleased to announce our next event at yet another one of Leeds’ infamous basement clubs, Hifi Club Leeds. This time we’re bringing through three heavyweight headliners from near and far, plus nearly the entire Beneath the Surface Crew in for support. On top of the weighty line-up, we are ecstatic to finally be using our own baby, the mighty Elephant in the Room Sound System! Recently upgraded to 8 polar beer scoops previously owned by the titanic Sinai Sound System and kicks and tops freshly made by PCH Audio.

Beneath the Surface

Beneath the Surface: A Leeds-based dubstep night, founded in the summer of 2017 by a bunch of mates who decided the bass music sounds that they loved (and continue to love) needed a new home in their city.

We, the BTS team, take much consideration when selecting the best DJs, venues, and soundsystems. We believe that musical perfection is achieved by standing in a dark, funky space, with 12000 watts of power massaging our internal organs (as well as our ears).

Intimacy and the conversation between the DJ and the crowd is paramount - which is why we craft our nights with lower capacities, more sound, and that family vibe that you just don't find at many events. Our collaborators of choice often include Blueberry Hill Studios, in which the mighty Sinai Sound System provides the sonic weaponry. In 2018, we have leapt into our full stride, graduating from small clubs to out of town, no-sound-restrictions warehouse parties. In September, we began working with the homegrown mastermind J.Sparrow and his genre-defying label Navy Cut, and in December, with the legendary Exodus party.

In 2018 we have hosted many artists from the UK and several overseas names, including Pinch, J.Sparrow, Author, Ruckspin/Leo James, Joe Nice, Distinct Motive, Hebbe, MC Pean, Sun of Selah, Six Sunsets, Siskiyou, and Fiend.
