The first weekend in March was a busy one! We had a private dinner on Friday, St Piran's Day Dinner at our local community centre on Saturday, and another private dinner on Sunday. Today is for drinking tea on the sofa, under blankets, and watching the horrendous rain outside!

Here it is! Homemade Marmite! Super easy & delicious!
Any of our left over bread from our dinner parties is dried out until we have enough. Then it gets a dark toasty in the oven. Soak with water, yeast and sugar for 72hrs out of the fridge. Squeeeeeze all that liquid out from the bread and reduce until sticky and gorgeous! We use it to then make more bread like these little toadstool rolls, and to flavour butter. It can also be used to give that umami flavour to stocks and sauces. 😍
