Brief history
Aigburth Peoples Hall (APH or Hall) was officially opened on 21st June, 1901. Over the years it has been offering all sorts of activities for members, locals, and non-local residents e.g. Snooker, Bowls, Football, Table Tennis, Socials Events, Concerts, and Garden Fetes etc. APH received a licence to sell alcohol in the late 1960s (or very early seventies) and, equipped with a large

concert room with stage and dance floor, plus other useful facilities like the large outside grounds, it has been used for all kinds of social events and party occasions. Today
Since re-opening APH has been run in a manner offering all sorts of activities and social events; it is run with the members and residents in mind and constantly encourages the local community to use its facilities and wonderful grounds. We are dedicated to improving the facilities at the Hall, and providing a wonderful space for locals to spend time. We endeavor to make the Hall a place everyone is pleased with. Today we are proud to say we have a number of activities/interests linked with the hall: Running Club, Cycling Club, Football teams, Quiz Leagues, Slimming World groups, Poker Club, residents associations, Soroptimists association, Garden Fetes, Summer Fit Camps, Market days, Charity Balls, BBQ days, Kids & Adults Halloween themed Nights etc. As a business primarily through events like disco nights, band nights, christenings, birthday parties, comedy nights, Sportsmen’s Dos, weddings, funerals, and all sorts of festive occasions that people may wish to celebrate. Improvements to the hall are paramount to its success and we always aim to operate to the highest standards and create a pleasant place for all to enjoy. We want everyone in the area to be proud of Aigburth Peoples Hall.

In the heart of Aigburth, where time takes a bow,
Stands a Hall that's witnessed history, then and now,
Since the dawn of 1901, its tale unfurled,
Aigburth People's Hall, a beacon in the world.

With walls that echo stories of a century past,
A gathering place, where memories amass,
Held within its embrace, countless dreams and more,
A sanctuary of the people, that's for sure.

In the whispers of yesteryears, voices rise,
In the grandeur of the Hall, history lies,
Echoes of meetings, laughter, and heartfelt song,
Through the passage of time, they still belong.

A venue of dreams, a canvas of art,
Where passions collide, creating a spark,
The stage, a witness to tales well spun,
A place where many journeys have begun.

Generations have danced, in joyous refrain,
In this hallowed Hall, where stories sustain,
With each step, the wooden floor narrates,
A symphony of lives, as time orchestrates.

Aigburth, a home to camaraderie and cheer,
The People's Hall, always drawing near,
A testament to community's strong embrace,
In this timeless Hall, love finds its space.

Here's to Aigburth People's Hall, ageless and grand,
Where the past and present, hand in hand,
In this haven of dreams, where hearts enthrall,
Aigburth People's Hall, beloved by all.
