This Wednesday we have the awesome Nyla Saldanha supporting The Creature Appeal at The Amersham Arms. Nyla Saldanha is a singer-songwriter from Kolar Gold Fields, India. Her music revolves around themes of nostalgia, loss, lethargy, love, and the inner child. Nyla’s earlier music could best be described as ‘indie melanclolia’, while her newer releases venture into the ‘retro-pop’ space. Tickets available on our website!

Earlier in the year we had the incredibly talented Sophia Rose at The Amersham Arms in New Cross, who has just gone on to win a shortlist grant from the amazing She was a part of the top 20 out of over 400+ acts in the uk. We hope to be having Sophia back soon. Maybe at somewhere new?

This weekend, the team at 5th Element took on a new venture. We provided a full backline, including lights, pa and amplifiers. Our team took on the responsibility of running the bands and all of the sound. This weekends event was for an incredible cause, the landlord of the pub passed away due to bowel cancer at a very young age and this festival helps to spread awareness as well as raising money for "Never Too Young" which is Bowel Cancer UK's campaign to improve early diagnosis, treatment and care. We look forward to being able to help out in similar events in the future.

With their energetic, untamed, majestic sound and unforgettable live performances, SANTÙ are bringing Rock 'n' Roll to the new generations. Santù are a 4-piece alternative rock band from Birmingham (UK) inspired by the likes of Rival Sons, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. After forming in 2021, the band has not only headlined shows in their hometown but ventured out both nationally and internationally. Their debut single ‘Scream’ has reached over 3,000 streams and was featured on BBC Introducing. Their latest single 'My Own Desire' came out with a bang on the 2nd December 2022 when they sold out their single release show at Dead Wax Digbeth in Birmingham. It's going to be a FUNKY night!
music is a singer-songwriter from Brighton. Inspired by the likes of Lianne La Havas, Stevie Wonder, Carole king and Erykah badu, she writes a mixture of funky and mellow tunes with jazzy chords and floaty melodies. All of her songs have a strong groove as backing but with the space for her sweet yet soaring vocals to take lead. Her new 5 piece band are just starting off entering the London jazz/funk scene and there are big things coming from them in the future. They have already performed an original at the world famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club and are planning on playing more venues in south east London where they are studying. With Alex holding the groove on the drums, Ben providing those funky baselines, John adding catchy, jazz influenced licks and killer solos, as well as Tiger on keys who elevates every song with his effortless soulful chords and melodies. Performing and recording her original songs at the moment, Sophia is excited for the future of the band and the music they are going to create.
