Last Quarter Moon in Virgo. Venus in Scorpio trine Saturn in Pisces – We’re at the last turn in the lunar cycle. There’s a push to release or rearrange time-sucking daily tasks to create more space for adventure and the pursuit of goals. Under this influence however, there’s a tendency to sweat the small stuff, to get lost in minutia in an effort to feel more useful or more organised. Strike a healthy balance between work and play, discipline and a free rein.

The Venus-Saturn conversation is helpful as it emphasises authentic relating and good money management. With these factors in place, our inner creatrix is free to cast her spell to manifest powerful long-term change that brings greater stability, both economic and emotional. The more we tune into our deepest values, the greater our capacity to master our fears. Life is sacred art – a mandala of experience. Love is the radiant colours illuminating the pattern. WINTER SOLSTICE

Wednesday 21st December 2022
Sun enters Capricorn 21:47 GMT

It is the depth of winter. The ground is frozen and nature is sleeping under a thick blanket of snow. But deep within the earth womb life is stirring - the sun is reborn.

At the Winter Solstice, when we have reached the longest night the flame of hope is born and carries us through the rest of the winter. For the time being, there are few signs that life will return, but over the next few weeks the light we steadily increase. For now it is a time to celebrate and dip into the larder's reserves to celebrate the birth of the baby sun.

Winter Solstice is a time to share your resources with friends and family and, inspired by hope, make plans for the future. It is a time to select the seeds and ideas we want to plant and grow in the coming season.

Neptune retrograde in Pisces square asteroid Ariadne in Gemini. Chiron retrograde conjunct asteroid Grieve in Aries - Poor Ariadne. After all that work to help Theseus escape from the maze and the minotaur, now she finds herself abandoned and alone. The thread that once saved the man she loved is now tangled around her hands and feet and wrapped around her heart. Over and over again she returns to the original wound, the pain of loss, the hurt that never heals, the wound that keeps on giving.

As this sad story comes into play today, we too may find our thoughts turn to the dreams that died, the prayers that failed to be answered, the miracle that didn’t happen. Sometimes we lose and the world becomes sharp and hard and ugly for a while as we fold in on our grief, tangled in memories and the endless knots of ‘if only…

But over time, we learn to accept, learn how to live with the unliveable, mourn the unimaginable. Slowly the knots untangle, the ropes dissolve with our tears. The heart stirs, both nervous and curious to explore the glimmer of light on the horizon. This too is the promise of these aspects. The pain and teachings of the past are fuel for the future. Lost loved ones become spiritual helpers. Find meaning in new dreams. Send out waves of peace. The Gods have not abandoned you.

Ooh.. take a breath

Mars in Aries square Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. Mercury in Gemini square Neptune retrograde in Pisces and trine Saturn retrograde in Aquarius – The atmosphere is stormy, volatile, angry. Rage bubbles up when we feel cornered, triggered, overwhelmed, overpowered, outmanoeuvred. For some, this may be the time when you realise you’ve had your foot on the accelerator for far too long – burned out, at the end of your rope, a hard stop. I’m done! For others, this may manifest as the urge to kick against that which cannot be changed. Maybe the timing is wrong. Maybe you’re just not ready. Maybe efforts are best spent on other goals, other battles.

The picture is further complicated by Mercury’s connection to Neptune which muddies communication and blurs reality. Already half-cocked, we go off at the least provocation, a slip of the tongue, a simple misunderstanding. Still, for all the heat and volatility, these same aspects can give us with indomitable strength, great courage, imagination, sensitivity of speech, empathy, intuition. Lean into Saturn’s solid presence. Think strategically. Ask a friend or someone with experience for advice. Play the long game. Consider your options before taking action.

Rediscovered the little wooden elephant in a bowl with rose petals in this morning, it belonged to a lovely lady called June who has passed to spirit. The little blue elephant was part of a gift from my mother, I decided to put them on the table with my little figurine of Lord Ganesha. I then pulled a card, decided to read the book, which I don't always do, but then was amazed to read about the elephant spirit .. absolutely wonderful 🙏💜 🐘
