I love all things floral and I hope you agree that my designs are a reflection of that. I want my designs to celebrate the flowers themselves, from the long elegant stem of a Calla Lily to the stunning scent of David Austin Roses. My style is very much English Country Garden with the odd contemporary design thrown in. When I am not in my Studio, I am with my mischievous 2 year old daughter, Mia. S

he is my everything, my inspiration, my muse. She like me, loves the outdoors, being in the garden and wildlife. It must be said, I haven’t always been a Florist, I started out as a Meteorologist working for the likes of the Met Office, ITV and Sky News. I did thoroughly enjoy my time forecasting the weather, but my creative side was screaming to be let out. One year, my Husband booked me on to the ‘Introduction to Floristry course’ at Hadlow College and I have never looked back! I trained under the very talented Lesley Young and Tracy Benton, and they moulded my raw potential into the Florist you see today.

Bud vases have been so incredibly popular this Summer and we have more to create for this weekend's wedding .

These were for a marquee wedding back in July, where we used an abundance of pastel shades and pops of orange to bring the space to life. All British grown, with Stocks, Snaps, Phlox, Calendula and so much more!

Images with thanks from Christine Constantine Photographey.

Monday weddings are awesome and these guys have been married for just over a month.

Such a gorgeous day filled with flowers of pure sunshine.. beautiful Sunflower, pom pom Alliums and the dainty bells of Campanula. All British, as always.

This time last week, we were celebrating the amazing love between Daniel and Evie. A couple I've known for over 20 years since the Groom was just 7. It was truly an honour to be asked to create their flowers and play a part in their incredible day.

Thank you to for these wonderful shots of their ceremony backdrop and to for such a stunning space to create in.

Happy 1st Anniversary to these two love birds!

This was my absolute favourite image from last year.. I love the light and the bubbles, and of course, the happiness that simply oozes out of this photograph. I hope you had the best day celebrating.

Words like these..

'Thank you SO much for being part of our wedding and putting together such gorgeous flowers. You completely surpassed our expectations - they were even more beautiful than we could possibly have imagined. The flower arch was the perfect setting for our ceremony and then formed the backdrop for lots of photos throughout the whole day. Our bouquets were stunning and featured in so many of the photos - as did the cute little flower clips in my hair (which stayed in the whole time!) The flowers on the tables were also so beautiful - and we have since divided them up amongst the bridal party so we can enjoy them for as long as possible. Thank you again - you are very talented.

We had the best day ever - our cheeks are still hurting from smiling :)'.

I cannot thank Felicity and Ali enough. I wish you both all the happiness in the world!

Rebecca x

A huge thank you to their friends and family for these gorgeous shots too.

The sun is shining, and it reminds me of this gorgeous day back in May when we gathered together some of the best sustainably minded wedding professionals in Kent .

The flowers were all British grown and screamed late Spring, with Daisy and Tanacetum in amongst Gypsophila Covent Garden and Buttercups. All gorgeously captured by the one and only .

Oh hey, it's me!

Lovely to see you here, I'm Rebecca!

One of my couples recently described me as a floral artist and after being blown away for quite sometime, I realised how much I loved their very kind job description of what I do. You see, so much more goes every wedding, that very few people get to see.. My fellow florists and wedding professionals will know exactly what I mean.

My role is to create magic on my couples' best days, and that may start with seed sowing, plant nurturing, or a message to my incredible local growers, but it ends with pure joy flowing out of my fingertips into each and every bouquet and arrangement. I LOVE MY JOB! How many people can truly say that?! I know how very lucky I am.

Everything I do is for my couples and ultimately for my sweet girl, Mia. I hope she continues to grow up to see the wonder and amazement of nature, that work can be fun, and that hard work truly pays off!

A huge thank you to the wonderful human that is for my new headshots. A little older, a little wiser, and definitely a little greyer 😂

Have a lovely evening,

Rebecca x

Its British Flowers Week and I have been waiting to share these gorgeous images with you.

All British grown, with Tulips, Ranunculus, Muscari, Blossom and so much more.

I am a huge advocate for British grown and the aim is for all LLFD weddings to use solely British grown by 2025. I am so close.. just two weddings this year have imported flowers.

Why British I hear you ask?!
🌱 A ten-fold decrease in carbon footprint compared to imported blooms
🌱 Gorgeous scent and twidly stems.. I'm talking serious character and pure magic
🌱 Support the local economy and local growers
🌱 They are the BEST!

You can find your local flower grower

Want to know more just ask,

Rebecca x

I really wasn't a dog person.. in fact, I spent most of my life til now feeling a little scared of them to be truly honest. Crystal came into our lives a year ago and it changed everything!

So imagine my excitement when Samuel and Maisy said that little Loki here would be their ring barer, and could he please have flowers on his collar!

More dogs at weddings please!

Have a wonderful Sunday. I hope it's warm and sunny where you are.

Our wedding season starts this week and I absolutely cannot wait!

The flowers will be much like Kim and Vince's, as everything is running about two weeks earlier than last year. They'll be the last of Muscari, Tulips and Blossom, and the most exquisite Ranunculus (my favourite!). I've even managed to get a few home grown blooms into the mix before we enter the dreaded May gap (which will start in April this year).

It's Earth Day today, so there is no better day to share this gorgeous completely British grown wedding, and Thursday will be the same! All sourced from our local growers, our LLFD plot and in Lincolnshire. Our little bit towards helping this magnificent planet we call home.

Have a lovely evening,

Rebecca

Spring has definitely sprung over the last few days and I'm definitely here for it! The sunshine has been so very welcome.

It's got me thinking how different my
Mother Nature chair would look now.. so full of promise, colour and hope!

Here she is in all her mid-winter beauty.. raw, stripped back and completely reflecting the early days of February. My favourite touches are the under planting and the drifts of Old-Mans Beard. It's all about those little details that really brings design work to life.

It's going to be a busy one here over the next few days. I've got Easter Wreath Workshops this weekend and Mia breaks up from school tomorrow.

Have a lovely evening,

Rebecca

Yesterday, on the day of love, my love and I got to spend the morning together capturing memories, moments and the incredible bond we share through the lens of the truly wonderful .

Lori was absolutely amazing with Mia, making her feel at ease in front of the camera and the images she's sent through are just out of this world beautiful!

I'm going to keep the truly special ones for myself and my girl, but couldn't resist sharing these two with you. Mia is my everything and these shots are more than I could ever have hoped for.

If you are looking for family images to treasure forever, then do not hesitate to get in touch with Lori and visit her gorgeous Studio.

I am super proud to announce that I am a Finalist in not 1, but 2 categories at the awards. I'm honestly blown away and very humbled that all the changes I've made over the last few years have been recognised in this way.

Does that mean my business is fully sustainable? No, absolutely not! I work extremely hard to bring my couples gorgeous wedding flowers that do not cost the earth, either financially or environmentally. I am by no means perfect though and still currently import some flowers at the request of my couples, although this is being phased out. My business has to balance people, planet and profit, and I am very honest and open about that. I still use cable ties too, as there is nothing eco-conscious I've found that holds installations safely above the head of wedding guests.

You can find out about all the positive changes I've made by swiping above, reading my website or flicking through my highlights.

I cannot wait to meet all the other like-minded Finalists in February. Its going to be a great night!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone. I'm off to flower my last wedding of the year.

I might ressemble a little Christmas Elf right now, but my heart is firmly back here..

In the summer, I was fortunate enough to finally flower A and M's celebration of love after years and years of postponements. They've even had a little one since and all their family gathered to celebrate his first birthday too!

What an honour it was to fill the incredible marquee with hundreds of stems of British/locally grown blooms in all the colours to add to the amazing Bangladeshi decor on the tables. It took two days to install and was a real labour of love, but WOW, I loved every second! How insanely good are these images from ?!?

A huge thank you to

Mary in Eynsford
The LLFD cutting plot

for all the incredible flowers and foliage.

Honestly, nothing makes me happier than seeing flowers I've grown on the tables in these images.

Here are the insanely wonderful words Melissa and Harry had to say about working with me..

'Where do I start?? Simply put, Rebecca created the wedding flowers of my dreams! Even though she makes it look so effortless, I know that there is so much that goes on behind the scenes and can’t thank her enough for all of the work that she did for our October wedding.

She is so kind - and when you get caught up in the craziness of wedding planning, it’s so refreshing to open an email where you can just feel the kindness shining through. She shared in our excitement and her genuineness is so endearing.

You can truly tell that Rebecca loves what she does - I didn’t realise just how much trust you have to put into your vendors during wedding planning…and I trusted Rebecca’s guidance and vision so much and she more than delivered absolute perfection. Flowers were such a huge part of the vibe of our day - and we love that her gorgeous creations will live forever in our wedding photos. I was overjoyed that we could also hire taper and votive candle holders and candles from Rebecca - the candles matched our colours perfectly, and the tables looked so impeccable…all thanks to her creative touch!

We count ourselves truly lucky to call Rebecca our wedding florist and cannot thank her enough for the jewel toned brilliance that she handcrafted - we 100% recommend her…and her talent and passion!

Thank you for everything, Rebecca!
xx Melissa & Harry'.

It is not often that I am lost for words... but WOW! just WOW! I am one incredibly lucky florist!

Especially when the brief is Italian Vineyard meets

Imported Italian Ruscus lined the tables, surrounded by an abundance of candlelight. The walls were adorned with locally grown foliage to give an immersive feel for the guests.

I absolutely love it when gorgeous images drop into my inbox and these are no exception from the amazing . Look at this stunner of a Bouquet shot!

All but two stems of this Bouquet were locally grown, with just a few stems of white Spray Roses to celebrate Yorkshire.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Laura and Steve for choosing me to play a part in their incredible football themed day. It was all so perfectly personal and I am beyond grateful that you shared these gorgeous images with me.

The summer holidays have drawn to an end and my girl is back at school. We have been so lucky to have had the best 8 weeks together in amongst the most sensational weddings!

I am so behind on posting and have missed so many anniversaries.. huge apologies if yours was one! Olivia and Chris celebrated their 1st anniversary earlier this week, and I thought you'd love to see their gorgeous coral pinky colour scheme for some early Autumn inspo.

Olivia's bouquet contained Imported Roses and foliage, but the stars of the show have to be my Dad's Echinacea!! They are just utterly sublime!

These gorgeous, gorgeous images arrived in my inbox this week and I am so in love with them.

David Burke Photography captured everything so perfectly, and I cannot thank him enough for sharing his stunning work with me.

This was my first all British flower wedding of the year, with flowers sourced from Highcroft nurseries, Smith and Munson, Mary, Little Warden and my own garden. I couldn't be prouder to have grown some of the flowers myself and that will happen more and more through the Summer. I can't wait!

For now though, I am busy prepping for Lauren and Rees on Saturday.

Have a great end to your week,

It's Tulip season and the perfect time to celebrate Rebecca and Julian's stunning wedding Lympne Castle earlier in the month.

Just look at that incredible light captured by Edward Solly Photography, isn't it utterly stunning!

A huge thank you has to go to Rebecca and Julian for trusting in me and choosing to support my journey away from imported flowers. I have never been called a flower fairy before, but safe to say I was truly blown away! You can read Rebecca's beautiful words if you swipe across.

Apart from 20 stems of Roses, every Tulip, Ranunculus, stem of Ivy and even the Moss, were sourced from our amazing network of English growers. I am so proud to be able to say that in April and it really is the sign of things to come.

I had the exact same look yesterday cutting my very first flowers of 2023 from Little Warden!

Excited much?! Most definitely!

'Everything I do, I do it for you' might be a cheesy song, but the words are so true. I created LLFD to fit perfectly around my Daughter and she remains the driving force behind every decision to this day. Her love and passion for the natural world is just so beautiful, and it's made me re-evaluate my business to ensure I tread more gently on this amazing planet we call home.

Here we are together at Little Warden planting Rosemary. Not only will it be used by me as a cut foliage, but it will provide the most amazing habitat for the native bees and butterflies. Yesterday, I also planted the first of the Willow, which will grow to provide me with Christmas wreath bases, Bridal hoops, plant supports and so much more.

Little Warden and I are working hard to create the most incredible legacy for our children and the nature that surrounds us, and we couldn't be more excited!

Rebecca Yussuf - Floral Designer

It may sound cliche, but I absolutely love everything about being a florist. Flowers bring people such joy, they evoke memories and their beauty is often unrivaled in nature. I am honestly at my happiest in my Studio with a big bucket of blooms, a pair of scissors and a wonderfully creative brief. The feeling I get when I bring something to life that only previously existed in someone’s imagination is beyond words.

I am truly honoured that my couples trust me with their vision – It is not something I take lightly. A lot of work goes into each step, from consultations to proposals and mood boards, selecting every single stem of foliage and flower, the fine details that make everything so personal and finally seeing it all come together on the day of the wedding.. It makes me incredibly happy.

Initial Consultation

Our first meeting is the beginning of a beautiful process that is creating your wedding flowers. I meet most of my couples in my Studio, so that you can see my workspace. It is laid-back, chatty and fun, and it really allows us to get to know each other. I like to find out about you as a couple, your story, your likes and dislikes, and most importantly your vision for your wedding day.
