Christian Holder is performing his new show, Dreams and Inspiration, tonight at the Crazy Coqs from 9.15pm.

This musical evening invokes some of the artists and experiences that have informed and elucidated Chrstian's theatrical life, including Josephine Baker, who was a friend of his father, Boscoe Holder, and whom Christian met on several occasions. Backed by a trio of piano, bass, and drums, Christian has chosen songs by Ellington, Strayhorn, Porter, Sondheim, and Leon Russell, amongst others.

He plays Velvy Schur, an Anatomical Pathology Technologist trainee. Velvy has recently left his ultra-Orthodox Jewish community and is now finding his own path.
