I always look at this photo and smile. Mum and I holidaying in Miami for her 50th birthday, and the very first time I'd visited this beautiful place. I found this while trying to clear my desktop. A task I took on as a break from trying to sort my emails as I've had trouble accessing them - so if you've messaged us, don't fear - normal service will be resumed soon!

As a woman who has run a family business with my mother, I can attest to the unique dynamics and importance of these types of small businesses. Being a part of a family business is like being on a roller coaster, sometimes it's a smooth ride, sometimes it's a bumpy one, but you always know that you have someone you can hold on to and trust.

We have a deep sense of loyalty and commitment to our customers, which has led to long-term relationships and stability within our community. My mother and I have a great working relationship, I'm the brains and she's the beauty, and together we make a great team.

Additionally, being a family business allows us to have a strong sense of purpose and values that guide our decisions. My mother and I have the autonomy to make choices that align with our personal beliefs, such as implementing socially responsible practices and giving back to local causes.
