The Revolving Shed, the London School of Economics Students’ Union Theatre Company, was founded in 2011 with the intention to create a new piece of theatre each year to showcase at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Playwright George Bernard Shaw - among the founding members of LSE - built a mechanised shed that rotated in pursuit of the sun; he wrote over 60 plays with the sun shining on his desk. Th

e Revolving Shed takes its name, and its ethos, from Shaw; it is his skill as a dramatist combined with a profound social conscious and dedication to the social sciences that the Revolving Shed attempts to emulate on the stage, year on year.
