You’ve probably seen a little anemone trend in the last few posts; well what can I say I’ve got a thing for spring flowers and anemones happen to be a personal favourite of mine.

I’ve been concocting this ‘All About’ series for a few weeks now, where I aim to give some information on ‘of the moment seasonal flowers’ - and this post it’s all about anemones. Today we’re featuring these stunning, ethereal Panda Anemones and dropping some serious flower education on you….just scroll to the slides and if you like what you read please like, share and save.

There is no wrong time to send sympathy flowers to a grieving family. Even if you only found out about the news after funeral services have already taken place, you can still send a thoughtful arrangement to the family’s home, no matter how much time has passed.

If you are sending sympathy flowers directly to a person’s home, opt for smaller flower bouquets. Any type of flower is appropriate for sympathy and funeral pieces, so long as they are tastefully arranged by a florist.

When in doubt about the appropriate actions and steps to take with sending funeral or sympathy flowers, talk to your local florist. They will be familiar with local traditions, as well as any preferred color patterns for the service itself.

The important part is to express your sympathy in whatever way you can.

What a last two weeks! We’ve had a house full of another viral infection, I just managed to send all the Valentine’s orders out, before I was ill myself ... we are all now feeling much better! ⁠

I am spending the rest of the week catching up on a few days of missed work, and I am starting with this Paeonia bespoke breaming full of lush spring flowers: ranunculus, ruffled anemones, clematis, scented jenista in dramatic whites, purples and burgundies in an asymetric style.

“Hello Andrada,

We are home now after my mother’s cremation service.
Your arrangement was even better in real life - the colours perfect and the flowers were stunning. Even the undertaker there said they were just gorgeous and asked which florist we had used, and he has seen a fair few arrangements in his time! I told him we had a lot detailed discussions about which flowers to have and he said that it certainly paid off. My sister was overwhelmed when she saw them, as was I. I really rarely post pictures of my funeral flowers and tributes but I thought this double ended spray was too beautiful not to share.
I'm truly honoured when I’m asked to create a tribute, I always take the time to discuss the various tribute styles and flowers options.

Funeral flowers are very personal and it’s important to get a feel for the personality of the deceased, the colours and flowers that were their favourite, to ensure that the flowers will truly celebrate them and their life.

And when I receive messages like the one above, tears start coming down; it really reinforces why I do what I do.

In light of the horrific and heartbreaking situation in Ukraine, we are putting all our efforts into raising money to support the charities out there that respond to Europe’s worst humanitarian crises, helping refugees to survive and rebuild their lives.

We will be donating 100% of the raised profits, from you, for bouquets sold in celebration of , as well as all other sales for the rest of the month, direct to charity.

Bstrong charity provide emergency assistance to people in crisis – an initiative in partnership with . Their mandate – getting refugees out and aid into Ukraine.
Bstrong and Global Empowerment Mission have established a Welcome Center in Medyka Poland/Ukraine Border. Next Steps: Expansion into Hungary and Romania: donations are scaling outside of Poland to partners in two other Ukrainian border countries to provide aid; but their focus is primarily on the refugees relocation assistance, with every donation focused on renting additional housing facilities to refugees who are unable to find temporary housing through polish families. They are funding 100% of their housing, food and transportation needed.

To day charity has raised $25M in aid and are continuing to help refugees with aid packages and by offering assistance to get to safe places.

The results are in: Omicron has got me 😢… but I’ve still managed to add this year’s Valentine’s Collection on the website…scroll forward and check out the live bouquets already on the website (link in bio).

In the mean time trying to make the best out of a bad situation by fine tuning a few new designs and looking forward to next week when I can start making and photographing them.
