Today, as part of our campaign, we are proud to showcase World Heart Beat's ‘bread and butter’ – young people learning music, and the social benefit impact it creates by developing skills, confidence, and opportunities for more independence for creative careers.

These intimate evenings, showcasing up-and-coming jazz stars of the future, will help to raise vital funds to support World Heart Beat Music Academy’s music learning for young people.
World Heart Beat’s jazz programme is spearheaded by the exemplary work of internationally renowned British jazz musicians, including Tony Kofi and Byron Wallen, as well benefitting from the energy of a new generation of jazz musicians, Ayo Vincent, Wilf Diamond and Ava Joseph.
The academy has a long-standing partnership with the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy, sharing enrichment and creation of well-rounded young musicians; previous alumni of both organisations have gone on to win Jazz FM Awards, Berklee scholarships, and the BBC Young Jazz Musician of The Year, plus more.
Guests will enjoy a drink on arrival, a light two-course supper with wine and will enjoy a fabulous, upbeat jazz showcase from World Heart Beat’s talented young musicians.

This July, we launched our Summer Jazz Hang Programme in partnership with The Julian Joseph Jazz Academy.
30 young, soulful and talented jazz musicians have come together to cultivate their artistry, enrich and expand a global community for jazz through performance, education, and friendship.
These talented jazz cats have also been lucky enough to receive tuition from jazz legends, trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, jazz pianist Julian Joseph and vocalist Cleveland Watkiss.
They've already performed at the opening for Brazilian trombonist Joabe Reis’ first ever London performance, the Battersea Jazz Festival (opening for Celebrating Cannonball Adderley concert) the annual Happy Streets Festival, and at a private summer BBQ party in Wandsworth!

Tonight at Embassy Gardens, join violinists Zoe Hodi & Kryštof Kohout as they delve into the rich tapestry of folk music and storytelling. Putting Prokofiev, Bartók and Ligeti into the folk music context of their origins, they perform the sonata for two violins, violin duos and Balada si joc alongside Scottish traditional music and improvisations.

On Friday 21 June, we have a triple-bill from three of the finest bands in the lively London jazz scene, with thanks to PPL for their support.
Danny Piers is a British-Spanish jazz pianist based in London. He taught himself jazz piano in his late teenage years after falling in love with the music of Erroll Garner and Oscar Peterson. Having established firm roots in the swing tradition, he began to experiment with more contemporary sounds – absorbing the music of John Taylor, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Shai Maestro.
Under the guidance of renowned British pianist Julian Joseph, Daniel has been cultivating a deep rhythmic approach and melodic sensibility to improvised music. He was one of the few selected to compete in the 15th Unisa International Jazz Piano Competition which took place in January 2024 in South Africa.

The #musicians performed one of #Brazil’s most recognised songs, ‘Aquarela do Brasil’, which featured in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
