We are officially open!

We are thrilled to announce the official opening of the Maria Vraka Music Academy!

Our mission is to inspire musical excellence and ignite a passion for music in every student. We offer personalized music instruction with expert teachers from London’s top conservatories, focusing on individualized learning plans, tailored to each student's needs.

We provide a comprehensive curriculum, offering free Choir, Solfeggio, and Theory classes, as well as performance opportunities, to all our students.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, we have organized three concerts.
One of these will offer our students the incredible opportunity to perform alongside undergraduate musicians from the Royal Academy of Music.

We are also excited to announce the launch of our music competition in June 2025, which will introduce our first scholarships and bursaries on behalf of the Maria Vraka Music Academy.
This is our way of giving back to the community and showing our students what is possible.

Our transition to becoming an academy feels like a dream come true, but it has been a journey of personal and professional evolution to get here. You can read more about our story here:

Our hearts are full of gratitude for all the love and support we have received since we began in 2016 as a small studio for baby classes. With the same dedication, commitment to excellence, and passion for music and human potential, we are now opening our doors to a broader audience.

We are changing our business and name to an ACADEMY! And we are making it official with our new logo and a brand new website and…. a brand new page which we will be adding a lot more engagement on!

MVMA stands for Maria Vraka Music Academy which is a place where students and teachers alike can thrive and make the most of their talents. We will continue offer a grand range of lessons for various instruments in one-to-one or group settings, whether it is at the convenience of your home or at our studio in Swiss Cottage.

One of our great passions is to inspire our students to live a musical life. We want to help them embark on their musical journey in the healthiest most encouraging ways, ensuring their ongoing passion for their instrument!

We are carefully planning our future concerts in order to provide exciting performing opportunities for our students to play in prestigious venues. We have already begun to curate courses to promote musicianship and active participation of the highest standards. As a Heart Centered business, we are committed to bringing something of value to the world, in different ways!

We are excited to announce that starting from next academic year we will be expanding our charitable events and concerts of all sorts. Although the name has changed, but the dream of our Director Dr Maria Vraka remains, we aim to nurture a generation of kind hearted & beautifully accomplished young musicians and help them confidently embark on their musical journey!

🎶 Concert announcement 🎶

We are thrilled to announce our inaugural student concert at The Annunciation, Marble Arch.
Being accepted at a venue that hosts a plethora of concerts from artists around the world, is a real honour.
It is also a testament to our commitment to excellence and our broader vision for music education.
In the last 11 months, we have grown from a team of 3 to a team of 15 and expanded our offerings from piano lessons to instruction on six different instruments.

As a school, we are looking into making heart connections, growing one teacher at a time, one family at a time. We are being guided by our vision to bring the joy of music to the world, and we are so grateful for the positive response!

The concert will be a celebration of our students’ achievements, marking our transition to an Academy in September and the launch of our heart-based living project, a long-held dream finally coming to fruition.

Composer and director Kris Bowers spoke of the power and importance of music education during his Oscar acceptance speech for ‘The Last Repair Shop’ last night. ❤️

The documentary, which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film, highlights the incredible story of an L.A. workshop that brings broken instruments back to life, providing musical equipment to students for free.

What a fantastic first half term we had! So many families have trusted us! Our selected group of highly qualified educators have been amazing! We've received so much great feedback so far and we are now starting the second half term for the winter!

Our music school is running Summer Theory Camps for beginners, 5-7 years of age!!! ⭐️

This is an opportunity to revise notes🎶, rhythm and other musical elements.

Depending on interest and ability children can have their first theory exam after the camp!

Announcement ! SUMMER CAMPS ARE HERE!!!🤩🙌🏽⭐️

We will be having group piano classes, playing music from the films and much more!!! 🎶

Each day children learn a new song on the piano, usually popular Disney songs. Each day will have the theme of the song. We will explore rhythm, music notation, composition. 🎼🧩

We will also have fun with Face painting, arts and crafts, creating our own musical instruments 🎸🎺🪘🪗

This is suitable for beginners!!! Anywhere from ages 4 to 7 years🎉🙌🏽

It is the perfect starter to instil enthusiasm and encourage group playing to our young students🙌🏽

We use colour coded scores and musical scores in order to cater for complete novice and beginners with some experience 🎶💞
