Built in 1582 and set in the beautiful Waterlow Park, Lauderdale House now runs primarily as an arts and education centre, welcoming over 65,000 visitors each year. Our varied programme includes performances, exhibitions, classes and events as well as weddings, parties and receptions, which together bring this historic building to life. Our penultimate Jazz in the House concert was a blast! Thank you to the sublime Carol Grimes, Alison Rayner, Deirdre Cartwright, Steve Lodder and Winston Clifford for such a wonderful night of music.

Last but certainly not least will be the one and only Elaine Delmar Music, accompanied by Barry Green on piano and Simon Thorpe on double bass, on 27 June at 8pm. We hope to see you there!

On Monday, we held our Cabinet of Curiosities private view. It was lovely to have students from Parliament Hill School and William Ellis School attend the event along with their teachers, family and friends, and it was a pleasure to welcome Mayor of Camden Samata Khatoon who gave an inspiring speech. A massive thank you to arts Alison Lam for facilitating, John Lyon's Charity for funding, and our wonderful Education & Outreach Officer Liv for running the project.

This week we set up our Cabinet of Curiosities exhibition! The work showcased was created by 95 Year 10 students from Parliament Hill School and William Ellis School Ellis and was facilitated by artist Alison Lam. Check out a sneak preview of the exhibition above, which will be on display in the House and park from 8th-30th June.

On 19th May, we hosted our first ever Sunday Fun-day workshop! Based around the Tudor history of the House, families were able to make their own Tudor coin and shield with artist Emily Hopkins.

The next free workshop will be on Sunday 23rd June, and families can drop by anytime between 11-3 to learn all about the Stuarts. Please note the sessions are catered to children aged 4-10 and cannot be unaccompanied. We can’t wait to welcome you!
