This weekend saw Vertigo Sounds' first summer festival of the season at Littleborough Rugby Club for a very lovely organisation called the Johnny Alfrey Music Memorial CIC organised by the parents of Johnny , a talented young musician who died suddenly at just 22. The family support young musicians throughout the year with the highlight being this festival. It was a pleasure to provide all the tech, sound and lighting for the main stage for them. They are an inspirational group of family & friends. The highlight for me was Clouds and Errors, a local, young and very talented band playing their own material and also I enjoyed John Bramwell who plays the guitar so beautifully. Looking forward to next year!

Very proud of the team this weekend, Jersey Boys touring gig on Friday followed by our biggest weekend to date loading five lorries in the Preston Caribbean Carnival, each with a substantial PA whilst also building, supplying lights, PA and engineering the main stage on Preston’s Moor Park!’ Outstanding job!

Today saw us complete our installation at Knowle Green Village Hall

We installed a new Epson 4k projector, Behringer Xair-16, 4k HDMI switcher, wireless audio over bluetooth, wireless 4K HDMI, 2 x wireless handheld microphones and a Zenith 4in 8out speaker management unit.

To finish off we also installed a new 18u black floor standing cabinet and supplied a brand new Lenovo Tablet for the mixing console.

As we approach our busiest period in over two years, preparations are well underway for back to back events over the Jubilee weekend.

This week we have been checking over our line array and rebuilding the amp racks in preparation for our first festival of the year, Preston Live

We were at another installation close to home last week.

To enhance their existing system, we added a couple of Waudio LA80s and Apart SUBA165s in Knowle Green Village Hall.

We also installed a new blu-ray player and an electric folding screen as part of the installation, all in preparation for their new monthly movie evenings.

Week one is complete and what a week it has been!

Over a hundred fixtures cleaned and PAT tested, PA fully installed and ready to be tuned, a new FOH position installed and a clean looking rack put back together with two new amplifiers and processors to compliment.

As well as our installation work this week at Westholme, we are also carrying out essential maintenance to the lighting system.

This week our work has officially begun on the installation of Westholme School’s new sound system.

We have specced OHM - UK Cora Line Array along with BRT-26 as front fills and some BRW-28s as side fills and delays.

All designed, supplied and installed by Vertigo Sound. We can’t wait to see and hear the end product.

With our offices and warehouse based in Longridge, team Vertigo were extremely proud to provide a complete technical package for the first ever Longridge Christmas Markets.

We provided staging, lighting, sound, site power/distribution, cable ramp and engineers for what was a busy two weeks.
