Hello everybody!!

Hope you are all keeping well.....

Great news for a change!

We are back at for the last Sunday session of the year on 20th December. We would like to extend an apology to everybody on behalf of the UK government for the cancellation of your gig with us due to the dreaded!!

Please, please don't be mad with us, we will be in touch very soon to rearrange another time with you.

Going forward, we are still trying to keep the order as it was previously arranged but, unfortunately it wont be the date we organised originally.

Let's get the Christmas special out of the way and in the new year we can rearrange with you all.

It would be great to see you all at the next one. Please remember to book your table in advance and if you have any questions then please don't hesitate to contact us.

!! NIGEL GIRLING !!

Nigel is a singer, guitarist and sometime songwriter who plays [mainly] covers from the 70s to the present day.

He is well known amongst the local Open Mic scene and plays in Pubs, Clubs and Bars across the Shires.

Last year he played at a number of festivals in Northern France (including the legendary Francetonbury Festival).

Nigel set himself a challenge at the start of the UK Lockdown, to post a video of a new song every day (thinking it was going to be 21 days) He continued through to the end publishing 106 songs (plus an extra ‘bonus’ VE Day track) …

He is just back from playing in Northern France over the summer and is out of isolation and raring to get back to playing in the UK.

Really looking forward to seing Nigel again of course, we aren't only making plans for him! 😂

!! PHIL DYER & FRIENDS !!

Phil is a singer/songwriter from Milton Keynes. He is a familiar face on the ukulele festival circuit and can often be found performing his original songs at local open mics. He has recently released his first solo album “Get Drunk and Sing”.

His songs cover a wide range of styles and moods from the silly to the serious, and are mostly (loosely) based on personal experience.

Aside from playing his original material he is also a member of the charity fundraising covers band Ukie Toones, who in the pre-covid era regularly played 40 plus gigs per year and have raised tens of thousands of pounds mostly for local charities.

Phil will be joined for the Sunday Sessions Gig by some bandmates from Ukie Toones and The Jane Prospect.

Cannot wait!! The guys are on at 5pm.

I forgot to mention......

A masive thank you to everyone showing their interest in playing at this great event.

I've had to make some tough decisions in recent weeks and its that busy that we are booked up for every other sunday upto Christmas.

I firmly understand that this is a massive credit evryone involved.

Please don't feel let down if you havent made the bill between now and then.

Remember, 2021 is a new year and new opportunities arise from it which will include those who haven't had a chance to get up show case their talents.

!! MARK GOFF !!

If you don't know Mark, then you will wonder why after sundays session.
With his subtle vocals and ambient guitar playing you will be left wanting to hear more.

Mark has been running his own open mic night in potterspury at the old talbot pub in between winning competitions and making appearances locally, nationally and worldwide!

A former winner of Open Mic UK with The Shures, he has danced for Cheryl Cole and been a touring guitarist for acts from Britain's got talent too. A former professional dancer and current perfoming arts school owner, be sure not to miss Mark who plays for us from 4pm on Sunday 1st Novemeber.

If you think you are up to it or you may know somebody then please look our way!

The criteria to be met is simple......

Solos, duos or bands that can play well, have some links to their stuff and make an afternoon enjoyable.

So, a week today and we will be starting the first event at Lake View MK. Looking forward to it.

Remember to book yourself a table to avoid disappointment as availability is limited. Also, if you cant make it from the start there will be more availability as the days goes on with customers coming in and out throughout the day so keep trying.

Final act confirmed for the first one

!!BLACKSTONE GONE!!

Blackstone Gone are a 4-piece electro-acoustic band formed in early 2015. The band comprises of Steve Bennett on percussion, Peter Hammond on bass, Michael Rice on vocals and guitar and Martin O’Hara on guitar and backing vocals. All members are from the local Milton Keynes area with experience playing in other bands.

Blackstone Gone have played at several local festivals, such as Folk on the Green and Bromham Millfest, and many local pubs and clubs from Dunstable to Kettering and more recently several private parties. Most of what we play are covers of popular songs from a range or era’s and styles, including indie, pop, and soul (Motown), we also write and perform our own material too.

Really looking forward to seeing these guys perform and we are very thankful for their participation.

Great news.......

So, after much deliberation and conversation we are delighted to announce that we are in association with JH Audio MK, in time for the first one at the view......

For those who aren't sure, JH Audio MK are a Milton Keynes based audio engineering outfit offering a wonderful service consisting of the supply of professional audio equipment and a hands-on, live mixing engineer to ensure that we have the best sound available to us on the day.

They have offered their services to us free of charge on the understanding that this is an event in recognition of local artists and venues and that we need to keep spirits up going forward. It goes without saying that this is an exclusive offer to the cause and that we are very appreciative for this!!

A massive thank you to Josh for offering this to us and its great to see his ambition and intent, going forward, is the same as ours.

Of course, Josh has everything under control and is working in line with the current covid guidlines set out by the government at this time and is fully insured.

The future is bright......

And the second act to confirm for us for the opening day is.....

TINKERS LANE!!

If you haven't heard these guys before then you will be having words with yourself once you do hear them play on the 18th october at the view.

Lead by front man Ian Roberts, it is always a treat to listen to this talented bunch performing their original material. Sounding catchy and familiar, they are the only local band I have seen fill a dance floor with their original material. There really is something for everyone.

If you can't wait till they play for us then you can check out their recently recorded album 'The Noise Is Beautiful' on all major platforms.

So, the first act we have confirmed for the opening event is......

ACOUSTIC SOUP!!

If you haven't already heard these guys then you really should come down and listen to them.

A local acoustic duo playing well known covers to their own very high standard and with their own, well projected spin on it too!

Kaye and Ian will definitely have heads turning from the off and it is all the more reason to come down and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and quality food and drink!

Remember to book your tables in advance to avoid dissapointmet.
