2023 was a year of new challenges, achievements and progression. New learnings, new goals set out and plans laid for next year..

Huge thanks to our guests this year, , and , it’s been a privilege and a pleasure 🙏🏼 we look forward to more magical dance floor moments with you as our plans unfold in 2024!

Thanks to the venues and events we’ve worked with this year, .ouseburn .ouseburn it’s been amazing working with new ventures in north east nightlife and some true institutions.

Most of all, thanks to the dancers who made every one of these events what they were. All of this would mean nothing without you!

We're here in the North East bringing you the best vinyl Djs that love the art form and have travelled the world collecting music over decades.

This time it's compilation master, global digger and musical genius Sam Don.

Sam is to the core what we're all about. Connecting with people on a grassroots level, representing and preserving their culture through music curation.

Limited 130 capacity, all analogue sound and a guarantee of a crowd diverse is age range and cultures.

It's a party where there's space to dance, love and learn, all centred around respect for the music!

WE ARE BACK.. SWIPE RIGHT FOR SCENES!

You might know Sam Don best for the 'For the Love of You' compilations. Already considered modern classics, these deep yet deeply accessible selections of Lovers Rock opened many people's eyes to the genre and even brought some light into the dark days of lockdown.

But this is only one small part of his musical expertise. As a DJ, Sam can take you from contemplative moods to peak-time energy, without ever losing that soulful touch. These formidable skills have seen him light up club dance floors and festivals at home in the UK and also further afield in Europe and Asia. This ascent has seen him go from warm up DJ for his peers and scene heroes like Hunee, Kamma and Masalo and Soichi Terada, to becoming a headliner in his own right.

In London, he holds down his monthly Free Association radio show on Soho Radio. An intimate, traveling party of the same name has moved between London venues like Brilliant Corners, to raw warehouse spaces. He's recently presented these expansive tastes on guest mixes for Danilo Plessow (MCDE), Mr. Bongo, and Phonica.

With his next project ‘Just A Touch’ just about to drop, we are super excited to see what Sam brings to the floor..

A few weeks back we demoed the first bits of our sound system at the original north east rave pub, the @tannersarmsnewcastle Here is a short interview (ramble) with our main speaker nerds @vinnyvins / @vinny415_ & @diz_jockey talking about what we’re trying to do. Many thanks to @aaronshaquillecarlton for filming us babbling on for 15 minutes. Many thanks to @marcohns for taking amazing photos which can be seen in our post from a few days ago. If there’s one take home from all of this, it’s that you don’t need to be an expert to try and do something. Just get your head down, and get on with it. Each time you get something wrong, you probably learned something new. X
