I am very pleased to let everyone know that myself and Martin Johnson presented two cheques to the Newcastle Dog and Cat shelter today.
The cheques were given in memory of my late wife Claire Johnson who passed on 11th November,2023.
She would have loved to have given to this worthy charity being a cat lover herself.So,£400 was raised by YOU ALL at her service,and £50 was donated by Delaval Lodge No.2568,with another very kind donation of £50 from Gavel Lodge,No.8928,making a super grand total of £500.
Thanks to Collin Bowman for sorting the presentation out for me,and thank you on behalf of our family for honouring Claire and giving so generously and keeping her memory alive.

We have 4 surplus round banqueting tables to sell. Seating 8-10 people they can be used individually for small family parties or collectively for events. Easily stored, buyer to collect. Just £60 each or all 4 for £200.

Thank you to everybody who turned out to support the Maple Terrace Christmas Lunch today,whether that be with raffle prizes,at the bar,or just your very presence
It is only with YOUR help that we can make them so successful.
Many thanks to Joe Dixon for helping me out with the raffle,Julie,Lindsey and the girls for an excellent Christmas meal.
Mark Cordell for his sterling work behind the bar,and all the prize donations which were fabulous.
The raffle raised £134 today towards Masonic Hall funds and it is greatly appreciated by the Masonic Hall Committee.

9th Annual 2CC Charity Theatre Show
Tyne Theatre on Sunday 18th September, 1pm start.

Dear brethren all,
Its that time of year again when you will be right royally entertained at the Tyne Theatre with an array of talent for your edification !
I write on behalf of our very own James Horner from Byker who tirelessly promotes and helps run this show.
I think if you could it would be a great gesture to him if you could get yourselves along this year and support this event.
ALL the contributors and acts DO THIS SHOW VOLUNTARILY ,and as such every penny raised on ticket sales go to the 2 chosen charities in due course.
You will not only have a great afternoons entertainment,but also be doing YOUR bit for these two great charities.
I have been to the last few,and believe me you WONT get this much entertainment ANYWHERE ELSE for a sniff of this price.
The bar area is open and available before the show,and refreshments are available throughout the course of the show.
