Just to remind you all that I am having a wee break from flowers at the moment, putting my energy into supporting our other family business, seadrift kayaks - beach shop and kayak hire on Crantock beach at the Fern pit boathouse as well as running my own holiday let management and cleaning business, helping with our land, breathing new life into it, planting trees, looking after the river and woodland as well as caring for my dad and of course my beautiful family.

As you can see, not enough hours in the day to commit to creating flowers for weddings, but maybe one day I will return, maybe even have my very own workshop on our land surrounded by wildflowers ###

It’s getting chilly now, so no more wreath making for me today, just a couple of kits to make up and it’s back to the warm and paperwork!!!

Christmas Wreath Making Kits are now available to order as sadly I will not be able to run any wreath workshops this year as need to spend quality time with my beautiful family.

So if you need to get creative, why not get together with friends and make your own wreaths at home, using the skills you have learnt over the years from attending my workshops.

I will miss you all and the fun we had, but will be back next year.

Each kit will have everything you need to make your own Christmas Wreath and you can specify to have one with or without foliage, as I know many of you have gardens full of suitable foliage, such as, Ivy, pittosporum, Spruce or Lelandi, Eleagnus, Griselinia, Laurel, Holly, Eucalyptus or even some herbs, such as Rosemary, Thyme or Bay.

Sadly today a local crantock family are saying goodbye to their beloved dad, grand dad and husband.

Retired from the RAF, so it was very fitting that they chose red white and blue flowers for his Coffin spray.

My lovely Fella Billy is re-opening the doors of Seadrift Kayaks here in Crantock in May, so here's wishing him all the best for a great season ahead ###

Seadrift Kayaks will be changing direction slightly this year as sadly its kayak hire has come to an end. However it will be continuing to sell the fabulous Fatyak Kayaks as well as a wide variety of beach fun goodies, from boogie, skim and stand up paddle boards, to snorkels, underwater cameras, wetsuits and rash vests and of course plenty of beach toys for young and old: including French Boules, kites, beach balls, cricket sets and frisbees.

So why not pop on down from May Half Term, when I will be opening the doors to welcome you all back - Watch this space for exact dates and times and as well as some pics of all the new stock.

Very excited here at Rafflesia Wedding Flowers, my new workshop and flower store are nearly ready for me to dress and make pretty for the coming season, so watch this space for some images soon.

So while gathering images for one of today's quotes I stumbled across these pictures from a Watergate Bay Hotel wedding back in May 2019. I'd forgotten about this wedding, I don't know why as it is my favourite style of flowers, rustic, beachy with bogwood and twisted willow in whites and blues like the ocean, what's not to love ###

So to the lovely Jennie and Dave and their dog 'Pepper' I hope that married life has been good to you through this crazy time and if you see this post, I would love to have some photos of you all with your flowers.

So my final wreath to make this year is for a lady who asked me to run a wreath workshop at her fabulous hotel, so it seems apt that my first wreath workshop of the year was at the Headland Hotel and my last delivery is there too, although this little beauty is off to their home for Christmas ###

So our beautiful 13year old joined us for one of yesterday’s workshops in order to create a wreath for our gate at home, and well I think we can safely say, she has actually been listening all along. I love it thank you baby, maybe you can help me with my orders too!!!! a florist in the making ###

So yesterday saw the first of this year’s Christmas Wreath Workshops and a new venue too, the fabulous Headland Hotel, where everybody enjoyed afternoon tea first before creating their wreaths, and they were fab wreaths too. A great start to the season, thank you ladies x

Well Crantock Methodist chapel of course.
