🤩Appleton Grange Riding Club Members🤩 this Sunday's In-hand and Ridden show is a great opportunity to gain some valuable points towards qualification for representing Appleton Grange Riding Club at the STARS Champion of Champions finals.

The show also has qualifiers for the Sunshine Tour and CHAPS UK
Championships.

There are still a couple of slots available on Friday afternoon, 31st May for indoor arena hire with Working Hunter fences.

Hire is £20 for a one hour session for one horse. £5 for each additional horse.

Classes from poles on the ground, followed by 25cm, 35cm all the way up to 85cm. Opportunity to qualify for STARS Champion of Champions and Sunshine Tour

Lead reins welcome and no age or height restrictions for any of the classes. This event is particularly welcoming to those less experienced.

IMPORTANT UPDATE - Good news and bad news!

Due to the continuation of this poor weather, we don’t feel that any of our fields are currently suitable to use as a warmup field this Sunday 12th May. However, the good news is that work is well under way on our outdoor arena and the contractors have confirmed it will be ready for use in time for the following weekend. Therefore, we can confirm that the dressage will be taking place on Saturday 18th and our In-hand and Ridden Show has been postponed until Sunday 19th May.

For those already entered for the 12th May, we will be in touch directly to confirm if you would like to carry your entry over or prefer a refund.

We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by this postponement and thank everyone for their patience and understanding during the recent weeks, whilst we’ve had to cancel / postpone events due to the poor weather.

‼️ IMPORTANT NOTICE ‼️

Due to this relentless poor weather we are unfortunately unable to use a field for warm up and so we have very sadly had to take the tough decision to cancel this Sunday’s Working Hunter Show (5th May).

We are truly gutted to have to have taken this decision and apologise sincerely for any inconvenience and disappointment caused.

For those hoping to qualify for STARS, we will run the minimum requirement of 4 shows, which are planned for 2nd June, 7th July, 4th August and 1st September.

❕ IMPORTANT NOTICE ❕

We have very sadly had to take the tough decision to cancel this Sunday’s In-hand and Ridden Show (14th April) and the Dressage on the following Saturday (20th April). Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances our outdoor arena is currently not suitable for warm up and the ground is sadly just too wet to use a field instead. We have looked at a number of alternative ways to run the shows to include a warm up, but none are realistically viable. We are truly gutted to have to have taken this decision. We are working hard to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and are aiming to run the competitions planned for May. All those already entered, have been emailed directly.

We apologise sincerely for any inconvenience and disappointment caused.

Looking for temporary staff starting from mid-April. Job will involve general yard duties including mucking out to a high standard, turning out, bringing in, assisting with the mares and foals.

Must be reliable and have experience of looking after horses to a high standard and able to commit to 4-5 days a week. There may be some flexibility on days and hours for the right candidate.

🐴🐴 HOBBY HORSE SHOW IMPORTANT UPDATE🐴🐴

Due to the unexpected popularity of this show on the 30th December, we are pleased to announce that we have invested in some lightweight plastic poles for the show.

We have also added an additional class of Poles on the ground for under 5 year olds.

Lots of different height classes, including Pairs Relay, Puissance and The Accumulator. Rosettes to 6th place and goodies cup for all competitors.
