Love it when we get a Toot Toot from the Bure Valley Train as it passes through the estate.

A Phoenix rising from the ashes. 71 years ago today (1952), British Railways ran the last scheduled passenger service from Aylsham to Wroxham.

The line was then freight only until 1982 and then closed altogether.

On 10th July 1990 the Bure Valley Railway opened and passengers returned. Today the railway carries more passengers in a week than British Rail carried in a year.
