And here it is, the first professionally made magic trick I ever bought. I remember it well. 14 years old, saw it in Harrods, whipped it up right then and there and the rest is history.

It's still sold in the shops and I would still highly recommend these tricks to any youngster wanting to start out in magic.

There's actually a particular reason why I wanted to share this video -

This is from an awards dinner I was booked for that took place at Cardiff's Principality Stadium for . As you see, a fantastic crowd, but the background volume is extensive.

This isn't unheard of (pun intended) in the performance sector. It's a party, so naturally there is going to be music, laughter, excitement, etc.

But, what do I do in the noisier environments where the usual patter - say, for a card trick - can't be heard?

That's where an effect like this 👇🏻 comes in handy. Not much dialogue is needed. It is highly visual and packs one hell of a punch. Great effect! ✨𝙓 😎
