⚠️⚠️Player Ready Penzance Club Announcement ⚠️⚠️
Dear Valued Members,
We have some important news regarding our Saturday Pop-Up Coding & Minecraft Club at YMCA Penzance, which we wanted to share with our cherished community.
Initiated as an experiment, the pop-up club aimed to make our unique coding and gaming experience accessible to young enthusiasts in West Cornwall who found it challenging to travel to our Truro venue. Our goal was to create a vibrant, educational space where distance was no longer a barrier to learning and fun.
Despite our best efforts, including substantial investment in advertising and offering numerous free trials to spark interest, the club has faced unpredictable attendance. While some sessions saw enthusiastic participation, others experienced significantly lower turnout, leading to a situation that, regrettably, is not sustainable for the continuation of the club in its current form.
This decision wasn't made lightly. We've carefully considered various factors, including the impact on our community, the viability of maintaining high-quality sessions, and our broader commitment to providing exceptional, fun educational experiences across all our venues.
Looking ahead, we're excited to announce the launch of "Player Ready Online" which may give some members continued learning opportunties.
A new venture that will extend our reach beyond physical venues. This platform will feature a secure, moderated, SEND-friendly Minecraft server, alongside an online coding learning platform. Tailored learning packages will be available, mirroring the in-person experience our venues are known for.
As a gesture of our appreciation and commitment to our Player Ready Penzance members, we're offering a month's complimentary access to this online platform, with further details to be communicated shortly by email.
Moreover, we're expanding our offerings at the Player Ready Truro site, including new coding club sessions and enhanced club sizes, thanks to our move to a larger flagship Gaming Centre.
🐰This expansion will also introduce an Easter Holiday Club packed with exciting activities. Penzance members will have priority access to these new opportunities.
For those who have prepaid for upcoming sessions in Penzance, rest assured that we will provide a full refund.
Alternatively, we welcome you to transfer your membership to the Truro sessions, where a warm and engaging community awaits.
