๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽนThere's one week to go before international superstar pianist Leif Ove Andsnes performs in Perth - the only UK date on his high profile European recital tour! ๐ŸŽน๐Ÿฅณ

This next instalment of our Classical Stars series is one we're particularly excited for: Andsnes has performed with some of the greatest orchestras in the world, and in 2023 performed at two Proms in the Royal Albert Hall. In Perth, he will be playing an exciting mix of familiar favourites - such as Schubert's beloved Sonata in A minor - and new pieces to fall in love with, like Geirr Tveitt's captivating Sonata Etere. ๐ŸŽผ

Make sure you don't miss out on this amazing night you won't find anywhere else, and book your tickets now! ๐Ÿ’œ

Many thanks to McOpera, Sequoia and A4 Brass Quartet for taking live music into several schools in Perthshire during November and December. This was run under the Perth Chamber Music Workshop Programme and made possible thanks to the donations of PCMโ€™s own members, the grants of several local trusts and businesses and contributions from the PKC Education Department and from Creative Scotland through Chamber Music Scotland.

The 10 half day workshops took place in 9 primary schools and the regional school for children with complex needs. They reached an estimated total of 1,085 children through a mix of class or year group sessions or whole school performances
The three events in West Perthshire were run in partnership with Strathearn Music Society.

In two weeks time Iโ€™ll be performing in Perth, Comrie! Chris Grace puts on the most amazing nights and I feel so happy to be with them all again. Despite the poster, not sure how much banjo Iโ€™ll be slinging, but Iโ€™ve got two big warm pockets full of songs Iโ€™m delighted to share. Dr. Dirk will be in tow and itโ€™ll be our last time to play together in weeks as Iโ€™m leaving on a very exciting trip the day afterโ€ฆ announcement coming soon! Anyway, if you know anyone up the way, geez a holla ๐Ÿ˜ƒI would love to have your friend of friends in the house!
