I’ve been very quiet on here the last few months, busy with my wonderful clients making memories with special weddings. As well as that being head in my first year with just wow. I’m thrilled how well this is going, thank you to everyone keeping me busy.

Weddings at home ❤️
I’ve had a few wedding planning inquiries this month for weddings at home. Since watching Father of the Bride as a girl I’ve always loved the idea of a home wedding, so being part of wedding at a family home gives me the opportunity to act out my role as “franc”!
Having a wedding planner for a home wedding is definitely a must, from the set up to the pack down this will make the whole wedding planning far more enjoyable.
I had the pleasure back in 2022 of planning and styling the wedding of Katie & Billy and Billy’s incredible waterfront house on Mudeford Quay.

I say it each year as I reflect… I am so lucky to have the best clients, always feel so honoured to have been chosen to be part of such a important time. My clients become such good friends and for that I’m forever grateful.

Well this evening is the . Anyone who knows me well knows how much this means to me.
Getting as far as a finalist has made my year so anything more would just be simply incredible.
Launching a new business in a new industry just 2 months before a global pandemic could have gone one of two ways…. I’m so thankful that I rode the storm and came through the other side. Not only did I come through but I have now built a busy diary with wonderful clients and another business along the way.
I’m so thankful to everyone I have worked with, work with and going to work with along this amazing journey. And the biggest thank you to my Mr B and our little family to enabling me to fulfill my dreams❤️

On the day I will go and do the once ( or normally twice over!) of your ceremony / reception room. Making sure your vision has come to life perfectly…
Me and my team will work with your caters, stylists, florists and photographer to ensure that the room is picture perfect for you both ( I would always recommend a first room reveal so you can see before your guests)
Cutting the cake, the old tradition is that this represents the first task a husband and wife perform together. Sharing your cake with your guests symbolises the bride and groom sharing the love and happiness.
We all know that it makes a good picture moment though right?!
It’s really important that your wedding cake is considered within your reception floor plan. Recommended by the dance floor for your photographer to capture the shots before or after first dance.

This is such a special time that often gets overlooked… allow plenty of time as it goes so fast!
On the day I liaise with my brides to keep them on track and not feel rushed, there’s generally always some kind of delay but I promise to keep you calm ❤️
If I’m onsite at the venue I love to see my brides in their bridal suite to reassure them that everything is going as planned. It’s one of my favourite parts of the day( I love to get first glimpse of the dress of course!)

Children at weddings.
…What’s your thoughts?
Being a Mummy myself I have totally mixed opinions on this… I love seeing children at a wedding but totally understand why people opt for a “child free wedding”
There are so many fantastic crèche companies, a few I’ve had the pleasure of working with locally.
Work with your planner/ coordinator to ensure this is covered. Whether there’s a quite area for the children to play or a play room where they can go with a supervised adult during speeches its really important.
But of course remember to work with photographer to get some beautiful shots… I love this photo of my beautiful bride .male at last year. Even more magical as she’s going to be a Mummy herself in October 💕💕💕

Anyone else feel like it’s been the longest winter, the slowest start to spring and all in all over being cold!!
But hey, the sunshine will be back before we know it! The wedding season kicks of for me in May and it can’t come soon enough!

…Yes, it absolutely is! I’m obviously a partial biased but definitely think if your a perfectionist it’s a must!
Most venues unless it’s dry hire will have a venue manager who will assist with everything venue
based. An on the day coordinator will oversee everything from the moment you wake up usually right through to your first dance.
We will execute your wedding timeline, liaise with your suppliers ensuring everyone’s where they should be.
We will oversee your wedding venues to make sure everything is just perfect.
Liaising with the bridal/ grooms party, making sure everyone’s on track for the day.
I often describe it as being the additional bridesmaid on the day who has your back 100% ( I’ve even been known to colour match bridesmaids for aesthetic purposes on wedding morning!)

This is a design & styling service for both weddings & events. The Luxury Hire Co offers a range of thoughtfully curated and coveted props and decor for hire which have been chosen for a modern, unique and on trend look.
Our styling services will be tailored to give our clients a range of options dependent on venue, budget, guest numbers and design requirements.
As well as our styling services we will offer a hire service for the creative client who have their complete vision and want to bring their Pinterest board to life.

My 2024 diary is now open for wedding bookings.
I’ve had so many enquiries this week for weddings in 2023 & 2024 it’s crazy.
So please remember to start booking your suppliers early. Most brides book 12-18 months in advance to ensure they get their date.
So why wait? Get in touch to see if I can help, and remember I have a hugelist of amazing suppliers in all things weddings, whom I work alongside and can highly recommend.
On the day wedding coordinator, what does that entail?
This is one of my most popular services for my couples. The last 3 months before your wedding can be overwhelming and the thought of missing key items is unnerving.
This service is ideal if you’re looking for guidance in the final stages to make sure everything goes smoothly.
It can be difficult to find someone who is not part of your wedding day to set the venue up just as you want it, or liaise with suppliers on the day.
On your wedding day my complete focus will be making your day perfect and ensuring everything goes just the way you want.
Support can include :
* Visit the venue(s) to discuss styling and timing requirements.
* Liaising with all suppliers on your behalf in final three months.
* Creation of an on the day schedule for yourselves and all suppliers.
* Venue set up and pack up the next day.
* On the day wedding coordination.

Candles of my favourite things at a wedding( and at home!) It sets the ambience of the room up, especially for a winter wedding.
Candles can really be effective and create a luxe tablescape without breaking the bank.
Be sure to check with your venue beforehand though! Most venues will allow as long as they are contained.

Well Halloween was a blast this year, so much fun with my little one, Elijah cried when the Halloween decs came down! Don’t worry munchkin…Christmas decorating plans are in full swing!
I’m buzzing for it this year! With my last big wedding next weekend I’m looking forward to really enjoying the season with my little family and friends. It’s been one hell of a year and I’m ready for cozy nights in watching Christmas movies with my boy.

Who’s got the Friday feeling?? I’m sure all those amazing mummies and daddies who have been juggling work and half term certainly have! Well done people, you’ve smashed it!
I’ve been busy head in party and wedding planning for my lovely clients, entertainment is always a fun element to source. This is such a personal aspect and with so many amazing bands/singers with the right notice you can get something completely suited to the vibe of your wedding. Whether it’s an acoustic singer or a full on band be sure to book well in advance.

The wedding breakfast…definitely one of the most important factors of a wedding, this sets the scene for your day. Whether its a three course wedding breakfast or sharing platters for your guests my recommendation is to always keep it as simple as possible.
It’s your wedding, so have what you would like to eat on your day, as long as you cater for dietary requirements the rest is really up to you!
Giving menu choices to your guests isn’t necessary, the biggest honour is being invited. Keep it simple.
Issy and Mark nailed it with their Christmas wedding menu from the amazing Caper & Berry] at last year, turkey roast with all the trimmings, it was a winner!

This was one of my favourite styling jobs at @theshipinnlangstone who are now licensed for weddings. With the ceremony, wedding breakfast and the reception being held in one room it was a bit of challenge! The pop of colours against the wooden beams, the backdrop of the sea through the wedding arch all made this intimate wedding so dreamy. Busy being Busy here in SK HQ! My head is in mood boards, sourcing beautiful wedding items, wedding consultations, weddings, private event planning and being mummy! I feel like a lucky omen this year so far. All the outside weddings have had glorious sunshine ( at least at the most important part of the day!) This wedding for the amazing @kp.newman @ Billy was one I’ll never forget. This took place on the beautiful @mudeford_quay in a marquee hosted by Billy’s parents. The setting was simply magical! I live by the sea in Portsmouth, Hampshire where I have lived for most of my life now with my husband, little boy and Welsh terrier. Outside planning weddings and celebrations I am a simple girl at heart, I love spending time with my family and the company of my friends, especially over some good food! I love to keep myself fit (more recently chasing around after my 1 year old!) and love to travel as much as possible.
