A huge special thanks to Tony and Katie of TK Travel - not only for being the bar sponsors this year, and their support throughout the year - but in this case for the loan of their telehandler - they even bought and fitted turf tyres to protect the pitch. Honestly, without this bit of kit we would not have got everything off the recreation ground after Sunday’s torrential rain!

This year the funfair have decided to operate on a token scheme.

There are a variety of reasons for this, not least the ability to reduce some of the issues in ride queues at peak-times from people looking to maximise their wristband purchase at the expense of others. I know many of you will be disappointed at this, but hope you see that the negotiated token prices are still excellent value, and a fraction of the costs that would be at other events.

Get your Burghfest on! Here’s what you need to know folks! We have pulled out every stop this year to bring your the best Burghfest yet! We have some great bands, fab ales, beers, wines ciders, lagers, gins and a Prosecco bar! Here are some of the things we want you to know… Timings: Friday 3-11 (not 12, H got giddy!) Saturday 12-11 So, firstly and most importantly, as you will know, Burghfest is a charity event which raises vital funds for Thames Valley Air Ambulance and other local fabulous charities and organisations. It’s a not-for-profit community event, every penny made goes to charity, and the event is staffed by over 100 volunteers - so please be nice and show them some love - they spend a lot of time making sure you have the best time 🎉🎶🍺 Tickets & alcohol. As you can imagine, an event as great as this is not cheap to put on - it’s primarily funded by the sale of drinks and entry tickets. If you haven’t got your tickets already, you can do so by heading over to https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/burghfieldsantas £10 Friday night £12 for all of Saturday - or If you’re planning on coming for the whole weekend - this is discounted to just £17 When you arrive… Once you arrive with your ticket, head through security to the ticketing/tokens desk and exchange it for an age-verified wrist band which you ARE going to need in order to access the bar, a glass and the opportunity to buy those all-important drinks tokens! This year, there are several bars available depending on your tipple of choice - and you will need to present your wristband at the bar for every drink purchased. You will NOT be able to buy rounds unless all members you are buying for can show the bar staff their wristband!
