It is so important to state that there are still 234 children (as of 4th August) that are waiting for a new organ. This is so wrong.

The majority of people do not document their journeys which is absolutely their choice and it is important that those that do share speak out for those families as well because we all wish for a new organ for our child. We share Evie’s individual journey but we have a lovely little girl Arsala who is the only other child at the Freeman currently on a Berlin Heart and she has been waiting a similar amount of time to us. These children have their own paths with different bumps and different successes. But everyone is completely equal and this should be remembered all the children that are currently waiting, have waited and will wait in the future.

When things are good for us, other people maybe struggling and it’s the same for us when we experience tough times. We feel everyone’s experience and we are all in this together. We choose to document Evie’s journey to try and help those either on the transplant journey or on the DCM diagnosis path. But ultimately now we want to raise awareness on organ donation in children and that kids are waiting for a long time for a new organ. For every success, there are so many still waiting and this should never be forgotten. 🫀🙏🏻❤️

A guy walked into my flower shop a few minutes ago "How much is the Buddah in your window"?
Me:"It's not for sale" Him: Oh, I don't blame you"
The guy spoke with a distinct Aussie accent Me: "Are you on holiday from Oz"? Him: Face clouds over as he shakes a walking stick at me "I'll have you know my family have farmed in this area for over 600 hundred years" storms out of the shop. "Never will I set foot in this shop ever again" Why are people so touchy and he definitely had an Australian accent. Explain that one.
I profusely apologise no offence intended.
