Don’t spend hours looking for venues when you can do this…

Finding a venue that fulfils your non-negotiables can often be the most time consuming part of planning for an event…
If you work with us to plan your party, all we’ll need from you is a brief outline of what your ideal venue would look like and what your non-negotiables for the venue are.
We’ll then go away and do all the legwork!
At our next meeting we’ll then share at least 3 options with you, with all the important questions for the venue covered so there’ll be no surprises further down the line.

In this instance we will:

From here, we’ll create multiple theme options in the form of vision boards to share with you and then we'll start the planning process

Gone are the days when your only options are white tablecloths and ugly old fashioned event chairs.
We created a rustic, classic look for this summer garden party using wooden trestle tables, brown chiavari chairs and navy & greenery for table decor.
Simple yet made the garden feel beautifully dressed✨

Should you prepare for this call?
Absolutely.
If you show up unprepared you risk forgetting details that are important to you for your event, or having to guess answers on the call. You ideally want to show up for this call having thought about exactly what you have in mind for your event.
What happens off the back of this call?
I go away and build 2-3 different options for each item (ie 3 venue options, 3 decor options etc) with varying prices so you can tailor your choices to what’s most important for you to spend your budget on.
Does it matter if you don’t have any solid ideas on theme, catering etc?
Not at all. In this scenario, I’d ask you questions about yourself and your likes/dislikes to give me a basis to then come up with some theme ideas for you.
Working with an event planner buys you time and JOY. You can take out the stress of hosting an event and enjoy being present in the process and the day.

Let’s face it, kids are fascinated by diggers.
Diggers, Trucks, Hard Hats. 👷🚧
All the things we as adults barely notice as we drive past (where has our imagination gone?!)

Rainbows and sparkles but make it grown up 👀
There’s nothing we love more than when a client comes to us with some crazy ideas and asks us to bring them to life
Metallic rainbow balloons are the perfect way to create a multicoloured display that works for a 40th birthday!
With the addition of a sequin wall to add more 💥 as guests first walk in 👀
We also had a slightly scary unicorn cake and gorgeous dried flower pillars and arches... Photos to follow 📷

We're BIG on celebrating life here at Allegro Events...
Well, we kind of have to be right? Our business is based around it!
But even before we built Allegro, we love a celebration and will always be the first to organise one for a friend.
In our private lives we're currently planning;
1. Nina's brothers 21st
2. A close friend's 30th
We've always got something that we're planning celebrations for...
Why?
Because life is a collection of magic moments.
Magic moments that you can miss when you're not dedicating time to creating them...
Moments like;
✨Catching up with a long lost relative at a family gathering
✨Cuddles at a christening with your nephew that lives a long way away
✨ Dancing to your favourite song from when you were a teen with your oldest friend
These kind of moments don't just happen, you have to create them!
So stop making excuses for why you shouldn't celebrate that birthday, or throw that baby shower or host a party just because you haven't seen your family for a while.
Celebrations help us to create those moments of magic that we remember forever 💟

It's Wine Wednesdays again...🥂
This week, we're mixing it up a little.
Here's a list of UK vineyards to visit!
What are the benefits of buying wine from UK vineyards?
🍷 For me, their sparkling wine is the next best alternative to Champagne, usually at a slightly more affordable price point!
🍷 It's more sustainable as the wine doesn't have to travel so far
🍷 You can easily go and visit the vineyard, do a tour and then stop by their shop so it's much more of an experience
🍷 As a small business, we always recommend shopping small and going with a local producer

The best thing about hiring a garden igloo?
They can deal with crazy British weather like today...
15.30 - cold wind
15.35 - blazing sunshine 20 degrees
15.40 - howling wind nearly blowing my fence over

Who's excited for the Jubilee street parties?!
It'll be our first occasion like this in our new house and one of the first opportunities we've had to meet our neighbours...
I (Nina) started a book club in January with our next door neighbour and some other local ladies, but other than that we don't really know many people yet, so we're looking forward to mingling!
For those of you who don't know, we now live near Windsor, so I guess it feels like we should make a bigger deal out of the street parties now!
So, in honour of that, this weeks Style Sundays Mood Board is dedicated to the Jubilee street parties.
Traditionally, the union jack decorations for this kind of thing can be quite tacky, but there are actually nicer ways to decorate and get involved.
We love these painted kilner jars, along with more traditional white tablecloths and an afternoon tea/picnic feast down the middle...
& bunting, I think you pretty much have to have bunting at a street party, right?
Of course, there's always room to add some drama with a balloon arch!

In honour of Cinco De Mayo on Thursday this week, we've put together a gorgeous mexican theme mood board for you 🪅🌮
Mexican food is super easy to prepare for big groups, as a lot of it has elements that you can batch cook AND many recipes like tacos can also be done as a 'DIY' stand for your guests for less formal dining.
Mexico also has some AMAZING cocktails - I'm sure you've tried a margarita by now (if not, you must!). So, you could also do an activity with your guests of some mexican-style cocktail making.
Did you know that we offer cocktail making sessions? Both led by us and DIY ones where we provide everything you need (including recipes!) for you to host the session. 🍸🍹

🍷 The grapes are a mix of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier - grown in Surrey!
🍷 Great to have with some nibbles/appetisers in the sunshine, particularly fish!
🍷 Won GOLD in the IEWA in 2019
Anything else interesting to know?
🥈 Denbies have their own Vineyard hotel that you can stay at and book tastings, tours and food experiences!
TOP TIP: Buying an English Sparkling wine from a great winemaker like Denbies is a great way to continue the Shop Local trend, be more sustainable AND it's often cheaper than champagne (although slightly different in taste, of course)!

Have you had that disappointment when you buy a balloon arch kit online and the colours are SO not what the picture showed?
This happened to me SO many times.
Now, I have several fantastic balloon suppliers so we use high quality balloons in any colour/shade! Our balloon arches will also last perfectly for 5-14 days depending on the room conditions because of this - quality makes a massive difference 🎈

🍷 The grapes are a mix of Aragonês, Castelão, Touriga Nacional and the wine is from a family winery near Lisbon, Portugal!
🍷 A great match for beef and poultry
🍷 Aromas of blackberries, plums, cherry, oak and vanilla
Anything else interesting to know?
🥈 The reason I came across this wine is because James Martin said it was one of his favourite reds that he'd tasted on his show! If that's not a great recommendation, I don't know what is 😅
TOP TIP: If you've got a proper wine lover over, this wine isn't going to blow their socks off, but it is a great affordable casual drinking wine - I'm yet to find someone who doesn't like it!
