A little bit of late night unicorn practice… it always makes me smile when people say “wow how did you do that SO fast!?” when they watch me paint a design in 2 to 3 minutes on a wriggling target - my answer is always ‘lots of practise!’ 😁
But exactly this … I might paint a good dozen unicorn designs this weekend coming 🤷‍♀️ but each one I’ll know the exact brush I’m going to pick up for each part, the order to lay down the colours and how I’d like each line to look - challenging myself to do it all in as little time as possible to bust a queue - but it’s the evening hours of painting dozens unicorns trying different techniques all my over my own arms and legs (🙈🤣🦄!) that helps me do that. I love the quote “when you pay an artist for their time you don’t pay them for the minutes you pay them for the hours” So true.

Bumped into this fun gang from Shipley Little Theatre on my way to the Saltaire Festival! Safari fun happening in the park today if you have kids bring them then for a fab day of activities!
