Steppin’ Out Boogie Bus was established on the Isle of Wight in 2015. Since then, SOBB has provided the musical backdrop for nights across a variety of venues and events at bars, hotels, beaches, forest parties and festivals. Vicky S started out mixing vinyl in the early 90s and it wasn’t long until she was playing as a DJ on Pirate radio, indoor and outdoor raves, private pool parties and support

ing live bands. Vicky S has collaborated with many different DJs playing many different genres. For Vicky S, it’s about finding the right tunes and getting them out there. Steppin’ Out plays a mixture of music originating from Soul and Rhythm and Blues: rare and more well-known; Northern, Modern and Crossover Soul, Mod, Acid Jazz, Funk, R&B, Rocksteady, Ska, Groove, Dance/House/Electro and Disco and Rare Groove meets Neo Soul. For private bookings, music can be played to fit your requirements. Vinyl and mixed media with Karaoke, or even a compere, to play music and introduce acts. We can arrange whatever it is that you need even if it is a specific theme or genre for your event or party. All of your requirements can be discussed and if we’re able to, we will provide. SOBB is a unique themed music experience for those who appreciate something a little different, our aim is to create an atmosphere for people to let their hair down, give up some moves and enjoy a good night. The Steppin’ Out Boogie Bus Story

Steppin’ Out Boogie Bus was initially set up to play Soul music from all eras; classic soul from the 60s to modern soulful dance music. Moving on from this, we’ve moved on to specialise in providing a tailored and unique DJ service to meet all eras and genres of music, to make your event exactly how you would like it to be.

Steppin’ Out has played at many of the well-known venues, bars and cafes around the Island. Nights like ‘The Basement’, a 60s club night with oil lamp visuals and, ‘Northern Soul @....’ - soul music for dancers, Sandown, Newport, Ryde, Ventnor. ‘Funky Disco’ Ryde, ‘Toe Tappers’, Shanklin beach, ‘Soul Shank’, in Shanklin to name a few.

We’ve also played at many private parties and events at venues across the Island, always aiming to provide the best musical experience for guests.

We play annually at Landguard Manor’s Christmas party event, compare and provide music for the Daisy Chains’ Festival of Heroes and Christmas extravaganza, The Salix - Hope Beach, Shanklin’s Boxing and New Years Days Swim, The Old Comical - Scooter Rally Saturday.
