Club Hosted by Claret folk roots music Band and Bob Allaway, Folk Song writer in traditional style. We are committed to not excluding any acoustic music and we remain a club who book mainly folk acts most months. 20 Minute features are on offer but please get in touch and prebook. We hope our audience and regular artists support the

guest nights, because with the decline of clubs booking travelling artists we want to keep this culture alive, it could be you who has the next gig and need audience support. We support artists who are not necessarily well known but have a passion and ability to enrich our experience in live performance. Support your local Folk/roots club especially when they have a guest night, with a unique up close and personal setting to see artists first hand.

Seems we missed 11 July post so here was the night. Again always a good atmosphere! Thank you Graham Peebles an old regular returned after many years and great to see him! A good evening on Thursday. Thanks everyone! Realised since the room has been refurbished the stage area seems have enhanced acoustics with the laminated floor. Thanks to Phil for his photos of the residents Claret who have temporarily lost their page on Facebook and trying to sort! Hope Facebook will let us get it back on line!

A rather different night on Thursday. Firstly we were sharing the bar area with the Hopwas Club members as the main function room is undergoing an upgrade. Club members were wone over by our music friends performing . We even had some dancing too! Amidst some acoustic cover numbers and folk! Thanks to everyone who came, Erica, Ron Attree Bryan of Claret solo, Jim and Phil, Ian Carter and more!

Cheque-Mates is on tonight!
Notice for our Sutton followers. After 8 pm there are road closures between Sutton and Tamworth. Please see below regarding your return journey home. Thanking you for your support!
A453 closure. HS2
To enable works to be carried out a section of the A453 Sutton Road and Drayton Lane, which runs off it will see a series of closures. The A453 Sutton Road will shut overnight between 8pm to 6am every night from next Monday, February 12 to Sunday, March 31.

It will also close for two whole weekends from 8pm on Friday, March 8 to 6am on Monday, March 11. And from 8pm on Friday, March 15, to 6am on Monday, March 18.

While Drayton Lane will be shut from 8pm to 6am from the following: Monday, February 26 to March 1; Monday, March 4 to Friday, March 8; Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 22 and from Monday, March 25 to Friday, March 29.

Motorists are being advised to take a diversion along the A446 London Road, past The Belfry, onto the A4091, past Bodymoor Heath and Drayton Manor and into Fazeley, where they can head on the B5404 Lichfield Street back towards Mile Oak, adding seven miles to the original four-mile journey.
